Some of my closest friends told me I would like Wes Anderson movies so I decided to watch them all in order. also if you haven't seen these movies, don't read this.
- bottle rocket
- interesting plot line, interesting story. A little slow, but it's Wes's first film so it is forgiven.
- rushmore
- actually really great. it seems more put together as a film compared to bottle rocket.
- the story feels more fluid.
-One thing I've noticed so far in Anderson's first two films is his perspective on human relationships. In bottle rocket you find a couple that can't understand one another and in rushmore you find a fifteen year old becoming friends with adults. just a little thought
- royal tenenbaums
- wow, just wow. this movie is great. if this is only the third film on my list, I can't imagine what the others will be like. the characters, story, and overall everything of this was great.
- the life aquatic
- nothing like I had expected it too be. actually quite marvelous. steve was a loose cannon and i really like his character and ned. i liked ned too. this is the first movie i kind of liked owen wilson as an actor. the part where he died kind of sucked though.
- the darjeeling limited
- first off, the short before this film was brilliant. The more I watch these films, I feel as though Anderson may have some sort of fascination with living in hotels.
- i feel like most of these movies say things about the human condition in way that it's not really looked at. these movies are honest.
-the more I watch these films the more I certain that Anderson smokes a pack of cigarettes a day in a luxurious hotel room.
- fantastic mr.fox
- even in a child's film there are people smoking cigarettes. this is great great.
- possibly is the best.
-also every movie to this point has some sort of marital/relationship problem (thus saying so so so much about the human condition.
- moonrise kingdom
- so far this one may be my favorite. (could change however, you know when i watch the movies again. there was something about this one that was heartbreaking.
- grand budapest hotel
- i have yet to watch this one, but i'm sure i'll love it because my friends were right.
