- Bell: simply from the English word bell, but can also be seen as a variant of Belle which means 'beautiful' in French or a nickname for Isabel(l/le/la) which is a Medieval Occitan form of Elizabeth; from Elisabet, the Greek form of the Hebrew name Elisheva meaning 'my God is an oath' or perhaps 'my God is abundance'.
- Bellamy: a surname name; means 'fine friend', from the French beau 'fair', 'handsome' and ami 'friend'.
- Blakesley: a surname name which is a variant of Blakeley and Blake; derived from Old English blæc 'black' or blāc 'pale'.
- Bridget: anglicized form of the Irish name Brighid which means 'exalted one'. In Irish mythology this was the name of the goddess of fire, poetry and wisdom, the daughter of the god Dagda.

- Blodwen, Blodwyn: means 'white flowers' from Welsh blodau 'flowers' combined with gwen 'white, fair, blessed'.
- Bristol: a place name; from the name of the city in southwest England which means 'the site of the bridge'.
