• 7/23 -We waltzed to a Grease medley at Sara's wedding, singing some wrong lyrics because we don't know all the words. We danced right in front of Dad and Madison because mom said it was kinda like we were dancing with them... but "that would not have been what they said"
• 7/25 -text convo-
  • me: what are you doing later?
  • mom: don't know. talked about dressing like firemen and collecting money but still too hot. What do you want us to do?
  • me: what??
• 7/28 - I told her that my laptop was running out of batteries and asked her to hand me the plug (that was on her side of the table) so I could charge it. She pulls it out of the outlet and hands it to me. I ask, "how am I supposed to charge it with this end, and with no end connected to a power source?" She replies, "I don't know how you do things!" Plugs it back in, hands me the computer end, and walks off laughing.

  • Mom: Madison, what do you want from Subway? 12 foot on Italian herb and cheese?
  • Madison: what?
  • Me: That's a mighty long sandwich
  • Mom: (to dad) I said "Do you want a 6 inch or a 12 foot sandwich?" hahahah
  • Dad: Wow! That's like 10 footlongs!!

8/18 - I came home and asked if I could eat some of the big carrots that were on the counter. (I love big carrots. they make me feel like a bunny)

• Mom: I need to cut off the top, green part and give it to the birds. Do you think they were poisonous for birds to eat?
• Me: I don't know, try it.
• Mom: (takes bite) tastes like grass
• Me: how do you know what grass tastes like?
• Mom: Haven't you ever eaten grass?

a couple min later

• Madison: I don't know what grass tastes like any more than I know what rock tastes like
• Mom: you're telling me you've never licked a rock? Okay, (holds up mask to madison's face) see what clay tastes like. It's similar to rock.
• Madison: After one person tastes a rock, no one else needs to.

8/22- mom was talking about the clay mask that granny brought back from central america

• "he only had 4 teeth. the rest rotted out.... and he was the king! hahahaha don't you want to be part of that civilization hahahah.... i know i do!"
