Poe is my guardian; my protector and my best friend. In some capacity, he has been with me always... with every version of myself that I have been. The best way I can describe our relationship is to compare it to that of Lyra & her dæmon Pan have in The Golden Compass. He is the physical manifestation of my soul. This is the closest I have been to him of them all our lives, though, at least since the very beginning of our time together.

• Poe is a large black canine, very similar in looks to that of a shepherd and comparable to the size of a dire wolf. He is most likely some form of a black shuck or barghest.
• He was able to take other forms, such as a marten, a caribou, and a raven, but no longer does. The only form he takes is that of the dog.
• His eyes are the only thing that aren't black. They are soft brandywine or sky blue.
• He is the epicenter of my magick and I do not go forward with anything I am unsure of without his approval.
• He travels back and forth between myself and another place, and will occasionally venture farther to see those I care about, especially if I've expressed concern for their well-being. If you need him, he will come.
