- i do not believe in bad art! (with the obvious exclusion of generative a.i.) there is art that disappoints me, art that i don't like, but that doesn't make it "incorrect." any art made with love is art worth preserving.
- an extension of this point: i can find artistic value in anything. if you can't, if you think the curtains are just blue, we won't get along very well.
- i'm a pretty political person. i lean heavily left and will probably not get along with centrists or people who get uncomfortable talking about politics. it's not all i talk about! but it's very important to me!
- with this being said, i am very anti-military in all regards. i won't be a good conversationalist for people to want to join the military or like it.
- i like characters who do fucked up things. to assume that i'm an "apologist" for them, or that i can't like them without acknowledging how awful they are is pretty silly.
- dark topics in fiction are fun and compelling to discuss, i won't fault anyone for liking them. but if you pride yourself on being "edgy" or "problematic" then don't talk to me.
