"The path of vulnerability is for the strongest and it is for the most humble...as we become more and more practiced in our vulnerability, our hearts expand and grow. Christ's instructions for being born again were clear. What he was talking about was that childlike quality of pure vulnerability. That is the strongest person, totally open to whatever comes." - Mark Sircus

  • Lourdes Cuisine (Blue Springs). Best and most authentic Mexican food in the KC area.
  • Tea Drops (Westport). Best local tea place ever. Hot tea, cold tea, bubble tea...yum. Plus cute and useful tea accessories, and you can buy looseleaf by the ounce.
  • Murray's (Westport). Joyously awesome ice creams that change every week or something. The flavors are always rotating, so you never know what you'll get, but you can bet it will be something interesting like maple-bacon or ginger snaps and honey.
  • Gojo's. Amazing teppanyaki Japanese food. And they throw shrimp at you. <3
  • Jerusalem Cafe (Westport). I don't like to smoke shisha, but I do like sitting around eating baba ghanoush with the smell of flavoured tobacco all round. They also have fantastic rice pudding.
  • Crown Center (downtown). Ice skating, restaurants that deliver your food on trains, a live children's theater, an interactive Crayola store...the whole place is made of awesome.
