Mandarin

Mandarin is a very hard and complicated language. There is no individual translations for each letter like there is for the Korean language. Each word has its own syllable and there's no way one can know ALL of the existing words in Mandarin. Even the masters still needs to learn new words.

From the start I had no interest in learning Mandarin because it just looks complicated and confusing, but I've decided ti give it a try (for Yixing). Learning the Language is actually fun and I've enjoyed myself learning it.

I'm using the same app that I am using to learn Hangugeo and that it the Memrise App. Learning it on Memrise is really fun and you can do it on your free time.

I am also using this to look for literal translations for words that I encounter or if I'm looking for the translation of a certain English word that I need to finish my sentence.

The grammar for Mandarin is actually pretty easy than the grammar of Korean. It is pretty similar to the grammar of the English language, thus making it look like a literal word-per-word translation sometimes.

Currently, I am more focused on learning the Korean language because I'd like to be able to understand what my favorite idols are saying or watch Kdramas without subtitles. But learning a few basic Mandarin, I can actually construct sentences and understand sentences better than I can with the Korean language.

I hope this helps you! I'll update this whenever I find new sources. Thank you!
