• el has nightmares about brenner and his team finding her, coming to take her away from her home, her friends. not wanting to concern hopper, she usually sleeps when he is at work and pulls all-nighters when he's home. she also dreams of mike, wondering how he is and if he can hear her in the dreams like when they were apart so long ago

PRECINCT.

• she spends quite a bit of time at the precinct; and not just to visit hopper. shoplifting, public disturbances, and damage to public property. when she's young, the stealing is because she doesn't know any better. why should you have to pay for necessities like food? when she's older, it still continues, but she's much better at it. her powers are still something she's working on getting under control, and sometimes she ends up arguing with people and gets carried away, causing things to break. she gets a scolding from hopper every time, but has yet to actually due time

SPEECH.

• her speech definitely improves in the five years, but there are still times she struggles. she still gets a word of the day by hopper, which has expanded her vocabulary immensely, but certain phrases will still puzzle her at times. along with working on speaking, she's learned to respond quicker and because of this often puts her foot in her mouth and doesn't think before talking. learns a lot of words from her soaps, sometimes gets flustered trying to think of how to phrase things

SCHOOL.

• history is her favorite subject in school, liking to hear about the many things that occurred in the world she had no idea about. she'd wanted to go for so long, but now that she's been in it for five years, she's ready for it to be over. the teachers are bossy and there's so many rules to follow, plus things are still kind of hard for her, both socially and academically

GETTING ARRESTED.

• at some point , jane definitely is caught for shoplifting. maybe when she’s still young and doesn't know any better.. or even when she’s older, for the thrill and the attention. there’s also a possibility she might go for public disturbances(i . e ., arguing with someone and getting carried away), and damage to public property. however, she becomes familiar with the officers after visiting hopper at the precinct eventually

• when it comes to max, jane is extremely wary. not because of her being a stranger (she got into a man’s truck for crying out loud), but because she seems to have taken her place as the girl in the group. in addition to seeing her looking close to mike, she feels jealous, her first impression of her was not good, so she walked past her hand in favor of hugging joyce; someone she sees as a mother figure. jane also worries max will make fun of her for not being like the others mentally
