Observations in Starbucks Matalino

  • Sitting in an awkward one-person table right beside the line for the coffee.
    • Transferred to another, less awkward table. I don't care if i'm inconveniencing two more people by being here, I was here first. Mwahaha.
  • Lots of old people. Talking about business. At least near where I'm seated.
  • I actually half expected to hear the Resto City theme as the background music. It fits the ambiance pretty nicely. :))
  • There's this school nearby, where the boys wear vests and the girls wear skirts. As in, skirts skirts, not tablecloths like many of the high schools. At least I think it's a high school. Anyway, they have their emblem on their vests, and it looks like some snooty private school. I dunno.
  • I don't wanna sit outside, because I know hell is going to come down in the form of rain soon. Even if it is covered. The sky outside is already the eerie clear blue before the storm.
  • I don't think I can write anything right now. Emotionally overloaded and all of that shit.
  • Two of the three old men in front of me are wearing checkered polos. Is this what I'll be wearing in 20 years or so?
  • I'm always scared that one day I'll get kicked out of a Starbucks for loitering. But I know that's stupid. ...Isn't it?
  • Tall guy in an otange shirt and backpack keeps running around between his seat outside and the inside of the store. He looks as awkward as I would running around.
  • I still can't get over the fact that there's Starbucks drive-through in other countries. It's really just here where they value the experience of
  • WHOA. DIZZY. I BLAME THE TRIPLE ESPRESSO.
  • The old men are talking about economic classes. The A-E classification, which I also like talking about. Tapos one of the guys mention a "B+" classification. And I'm thinking, "what is this, the Ateneo grading system?" XD
  • Abandon hope.
  • 5:26 PM 10/21/2009 I just thought of inserting the date and time. Sorta like Twitter. But it really doesn't matter because a lot of the stuff I put here come within minutes of each other anyway. The date and time just make things cooler. :P
  • 5:29 PM 10/21/2009 The pretense of a coffeeshop helps to channel my thoughts. I think. All I know is my thinking's not as much of a mess.
  • 5:30 PM 10/21/2009 Me wanting to take up tennis can go one of two ways. My mom would get mad for me taking up another fairly expensive P.E., or she'd be proud of me that I'm trying my hand with the racket and the fuzzy balls. LOL
  • 5:34 PM 10/21/2009 I'd like to impose my unreality.
  • 5:37 PM 10/21/2009 "Now people can generally be classified into two groups: the mediocre realists and the mediocre dreamers."
  • 5:52 PM 10/21/2009 Too many people now. There's this bunch of foreigners here. I don't know, Caucasians make me feel odd. They make me think I'm in London or the US again.
  • 5:53 PM 10/21/2009 Nursing/med student outside is smoking Vogue. I think of Kevin. And, I want to learn how to smoke.
  • 5:57 PM 10/21/2009 Hm. That's odd. No rain yet.
  • 6:08 PM 10/21/2009 The foreigners behind me have either adopted or smuggled a kid out of the Philippines. LOL. The girl is their fourth adopted kid. They have six kids total. Yes, I am eavesdropping.
  • 6:22 PM 10/21/2009 I think I'll go home.
