- ✔ Inglorious Bastards - Fantastic. Classic Tarantino, beautiful language, not a disappointment.
- ✔ Inception - One of the best new movies I've seen in a long time. Extremely well done.
- ✔ Slumdog Millionaire - Beautiful. And I was so thankful for a happy ending.
- ✔ Sex and the City 2 - Not good, as expected, but it had to be done.
- Toy Story 3
- Shrek 4
- Spinal Tap
- The Jane Austen films
- Jane Eyre
- ✔ Coraline - Captivating, but very creepy for a children's movie!
- Waiting for Superman
- ✔ Sonnenallee - A little difficult to follow at first, but a light summary of the German division.
- ✔ Up! - Requires lots of suspension of disbelief, but so cute and funny. Any move that makes me cry in the first 10 minutes gets a thumbs up.
- No Country for Old Men
- The Shining
- Poltergeist
- A Few Good Men
- Top Gun
- Goldfinger
- Citizen Kane
- Love Story
- The White Ribbon
- The Godfather
- die Klavierspielerin
- ✔ Paris Je Taime - Fun and engaging. Vampire story was a misfit. My favorite is the last...relatable.
- Captain Corelli's Mandolin
- Reservoir Dogs
- Vertigo
- Fight Club
- ✔ Rear Window - Of the quality we know and love from Hitchcock.
- ✔ The Dark Knight - Good, but my lack of Batman passion didn't help the story.
- Ratatouille
- Alice in Wonderland
- Julie and Julia
- Shutter Island
- ✔ Master and Commander - Quality story and acting, but the lengthy plot leads you on.
- ✔ The Other Guys - Reverse of the usual: Will Ferrell is great, supporting cast is not.
- ✔ From Paris with Love - Bloody, offensive, but still kinda fun.
- ✔ Iron Man 2 - Blech! I hope this is not the future of cinema: special effects, zero storyline, zero character development, predictable humor.
