dear June, i have been trying to capture you for years in the way i used to as a kid. you always slip away nowadays but i think i got you. thank you for our times together:

• going to the water park with my sibling in law & friends
• seeing the Bob's Burgers movie with my fam
• going to my sister's charcuterie party where i prepared my own chocolate and cheese board

and i thank you for gifting my family:

• my daughter spending every day in the pool
• my daughter playing with her friends
• my daughter building the dreamiest tan and sun-kissed hair combo ever witnessed
• my son learning to sort toys (coupling similar toys together)
• my son learning to ask please instead of yelling
• my son learning the word hug and coming up to hug my legs while i keep house

and personally i thank you for some inner peace:

• going on almost daily walks with my kids, pointing out birds, trees, children playing
• spending less money on fast food and more time making home cooked food for my fam
