heres a bit more about my youtube channel that i cant fit within the bio character limit, i wonder if anyones going to read this

the way my channel operates is basically i go around acting as if i have an enormous audience. i very blatantly dont; my subscriber count is only big at all because of two videos i made that got popular. despite that, its honestly a lot of fun to make videos with a big imaginary audience in mind.

my imaginary audience absolutely loves 8-bit covers (i get to say what they do and dont like because they exist only in my head). basically how 8-bit covers work is i think of a song that i like and/or would be fun to make a chiptune cover of, then i transcribe it all in famitracker. its always an insanely fun thing to do, though honestly i feel like i could do a bit more with remixing music.

sometimes i post mashups but i really dont consider myself a "mashup artist", typically theyre things that i feel an urge to make and then kind of regret making.

i do dramatic readings/redubs sometimes, both on my main and alt youtube channel. the funny thing is, i kind of have a naturally dramatic voice so i dont need to exaggerate too much to be able to call these readings dramatic.

my biggest dramatic reading is a reading of the entirety of detective pony, an edited version of a children's book about horses meant to seem like it was written by a homestuck character. that fanfic is very important to me, its just impossibly hilarious while still being a thrilling story to read. my reading is legitimately the single thing i made on youtube that i am most proud of, mostly because at one point i started to procrastinate on these videos but i eventually pulled through and finished that project anyway, with the final video published on the first video's second anniversary.

i have a handful of videos where i talk about things, but those arent that common. i kind of want to do more but theres something about recording your voice for videos that really really invites procrastination, which is frustrating to say the least

explanations of the channels in my list:

  • cookiefonster 2nd channel - my alt account where i DONT act like i have a big audience
  • cool and new music team - youtube channel that does funny things with homestuck music, based on cool and new web comic, a groundbreaking comic generaly built around homestuck. i make stuff for them sometimes. their discord server is easily the place i talk the most online but you need to ask the people that run it for an invite and it may or may not go through
  • cool and new web comic - i just explained what that is
  • michael guy bowman - homestuck musician who has a wide collection of good original music as well, strongly idolized figure by people in the cool and new music team. makes funny skit videos sometimes and is in general a really cool guy.
  • eric taxxon - i discovered this guy in early 2018 and it was the best goddamn thing to happen to me, he tends to get me thinking about media in completely new ways i never wouldve thought of and its honestly super incredible, also has a great sense of humor.
  • neil cicierega - if you dont know who he is what cave have you been living in, get out of there right now
  • 123zc1 - another guy who has an impossibly good sense of humor AND makes legit good informative videos. also an infamous water drinker
  • branflakes - legit my favorite chiptune artist on youtube of all time
  • akfamilyhome - makes both funnies and quality videos, i love his twitter too

also, i have a discord server i made myself that i linked to on my youtube and twitter. it kind of goes hand in hand with the whole imaginary audience thing, its not very big atm so im more inclined to share stuff on bigger servers, i try to post things that strike me in some way there too sometimes though.
