• Her husband Nabal was very arrogant and wouldn't give David and his men any food even though they could have already killed his sheep, but hey had integrity and didn't. (David had just fled from Saul)
• David got angry and was going to go kill Nabal's men, but Abigail went to him and brought him a feast (more than he originally asked for) and pleaded for him to not kill her husband and let God pass judgement and take his own vengnece.
• so David agreed and Abigial told Nabal (after he had sobered up from the night before) and the Lord struck him and he died 10 days later
• The Lord took his vengence. and David realized that Abigail was a wonderful woman and he married her.
