Merfolk from all kingdoms and queendoms gathered in a small circle of islands and mountains to wait for the awakening of the old gods. Most of the sweet water merfolk could shift their tail into legs for easier travel, the others couldn't. There was an old orca mermaid that befriended an old green lake mer that had moss and seaweed growing on her body. The old gods looked like small mountains, smooth stone covered in grass and moss with a line of trees growing along their spine, one was a strange stegosaurus looking creature with a heavy dull-horned head, another was similar but looked more like a long neck dinosaur, and the last was a shark with fins strong enough to let it walk on land.
