- Create sublists by indenting list items two spaces. You can nest lists even further with more indentation, two spaces per level.
- Make words or phrases bold by wrapping them with double underscores.
- Make words or phrases italic by wrapping them with single underscores.
- Link an entire list item by placing a URL in brackets at the end of the item. Or link a particular word or phrase by wrapping it in parentheses and following the parentheses with a URL in brackets. Additionally, bare URLs will also automatically be linked.
- Make a checkmark next to a list item by placing a slash (/) next to the item asterisk.
- Strike through a list item by placing a dash (-) next to the item asterisk.
