- holding a child all the time only hurts them. and you.
- dilute juice. it goes right through them.
- prevents many diaper changes
- pampers cruisers are the way to go
- sippy cups should be chosen carefully.
- finding one that doesn't leak is uber important
- rice cereal & baby food = success
- its ok to let them cry. eventually they will stop.
- do NOT pat them to sleep. they get hooked and then can't sleep without it
- pacifiers are a fantastic invention. just don't let them use it too long
- shoes are overrated. they pull them off
- time out is a powerful thing
- goldfish/cheerios are great, easy snack ideas
- if they fall...don't freak out. if they see you freak out then they're going to start crying
- most of the time their first reaction is to cry even if they aren't actually hurt.
- always carry tissues. runny noses are not fun
- carry baby wipes everywhere. helps with:
- spills
- diaper changes
- noses
- wiping sticky hands
- bouncers are a necessity.
- swings are also pretty amazing
- they put everything in their mouths so be prepared
- naps are the most important thing EVER
- keeping kids on a schedule not only helps you but it helps them too. they know what to expect and so do you
- keeping toys and or books in the car is a great way to keep them entertained
- arts and crafts are an easy activity that kids really enjoy
- bibs should be carried with you at all times
- when they sleep play music. that way they grow up being able to sleep through loud noises
- when i was little my mom made sure it was absolutely quiet when i slept. that's probably why i'm such a light sleeper now.
