The most important part of my identity is my spirituality and who i am in Christ. I'm not ashamed to say that Jesus is my savior.

As a particularly pessimistic individual, i find no lasting hope in this world, in the people around me, or in myself. People are evil, and i'm no different, but i know we all have the capability to turn away from evil and do what is not only best for ourselves and others, but what God wants us to do. Without Jesus dying for me, there would be no actual purpose to my life. I would just live and then die and forever be separated from the one thing i need-- God. Without God, there is no hope. You've seen how often people fail, how could i put all my faith in us? I keep my faith and hope in the eternal, not the temporal.

I've been a Christian all my life, but i really realized how important my eternity is in the summer of 2015. I've had my ups and downs, struggled through mental and physical illnesses, lost friends and family, fought against myself, and dealt with the everyday struggles we as people go through. I've been working at getting better since that summer and continue to do my best to give glory to the Only One who deserves it. Love is most important, even if it's tough love.
