MERONIA

Summary: Canon divergence au. Mello comes back from the dead for the 2020 Death Note one-shot, and teams up with Near to track down the new Kira.

Comment: A gem in the meronia community to be frank. In particular, the author nailed the characterization. It was a little jarring to read because of the age gap but I think the dynamic was reconciled very well.

Summary: University au. Near gets a rude customer who keeps coming back.

Comment: Never got finished and honestly very little was there but I have never seen someone capture their personalities in such an accurate and funny way.

LAWLIGHT

Summary: Canon divergence au. Light receives a very distressing diagnosis, and then the course of his and L's relationship goes down a very different path.

Comment: Probably the longest fanfic I've re-read the most amount of times. Just on a different level with its dedication to the exploration of these characters. I don't even like Lawlight and this is as close to a masterpiece as fanfiction can get.
