Summary: Canon divergence au. Kaveh and Alhaitham stumble into a working relationship where they sleep together and feelings get complicated.

Comment: So I admittedly skipped the smut scenes, but this fanfic amazed me in every way. What a great showcase of character study. What I appreciate so much is that you can tell how much consideration was given to what was realistic for the characters and what was necessary for their arcs, rather than what would be the most gratifying. Even if the ending was somewhat abrupt, it was still satisfying because of how much was lent to character work in the first place.
