KAKAOBI

Summary: Canon divergence au. In which Obito never dies, Kakashi takes him in as a registered fugitive, and old feelings get caught up with new ones, resulting in something twisted and impure.

Comment: See, I don't even like smut but this whole story was so riveting that I read all of the scenes anyway. I am so amazed by the author's ability to weave metaphors and meaningful storytelling about their relationship into even mere gestures. This is such a great example of what a story can and should be; Kakashi and Obito's internal progressions fall perfectly inline with each moment of their degrading arrangement. I could not stop thinking about this story the first time I read it.

Summary: University au. Kakashi's a nerd, Obito's a fucker, but somehow they're friends. It only takes a few years for Kakashi to start noticing how attractive this specific friend of his is.

Comment: It's more of a slice of life au than anything, and it's really fun. The main couple is so cute.

SASUNARU

Summary: Canon divergence au. After things settle down post-war, Naruto and Sasuke still have things to work out between them.

Comment: One thing about me is that I love a fanfic that just fundamentally understands the characters, even if it's short and simple. This is such a perfect slice of life resolution to everything, I feel like it captures their dynmaic in such an expressive and accurate way, and a slice of life romance is exactly what these two needed after everything that happened.
