Most of what you call "discourse" is fanwank, but let's clear up some things

• I'm big on fiction =/= reality because I like a lot of ships and content that could be considered "icky". I don't need to explain my reasons for this to anybody BUT I will say in this house we don't equate fictional characters touching uglies to actual atrocities. Direct that energy towards something real like punching a Nazi or donating towards causes that stop trafficking in other countries.
• This isn't to say fiction doesn't AFFECT real life issues, but there's a big difference between government/organization-sanctioned propaganda and mass, recreational fiction.
• Fujoshi discourse is dumb and a lot of it is based around Westerners twisting a word that's not even ours. I don't identify as a fujo/fudan because I'm enby and not Japanese - so therefore it's not my word to use. It's the same reason I don't use the word "otaku" BUT, I don't fault anyone for using it and I defend the reason/history behind it.
• Every time you cite a Medium article like it's some holy grail of a source, god rips an angel's wings off.
