1709; Written by Byun: "Who would cry for me when I finally retire from all my duties? I hope the one reading this, whoever sees this when they’re clearing this room, will visit me and cry for me. Maybe just even in their room, just one tear and one memory of me, my soul would be pleased. I just want to be remembered, to be thanked, and for a tear to fall for me when I fall like the first snow. Isn’t that a pretty thought? That way, we can be together in our memories. And if the gods permit, if such a thing exists, I could live again to be with you even for a while." Read by Kim Jongdae; 2021

Jongdae knows it well especially when his parents leave him with choices A) go and find your inner peace in a monastery and B) go and find your own fairytale. No wonder what he chooses but what follows is beyond everything Prince Jongdae, 2nd Prince of Far, Far Away has ever expected...

Jongdae never imagined his life would take this turn but suddenly he's on a quest to save his family and his only hope is a half-nymph named Baekhyun. Jongdae finally builds up the courage to tell Baekhyun that he's not really in love with Jongdae; it's just the amortentia doing its job.

Baekhyun knows idolatry, of course he does. He’s made tens of millions off of it, in the way infatuated schoolgirls make shrines of merchandise bearing his likeness, Bibles of his photo-books, gospels of his albums—crafting him into a deity of their own making. He knows capricious, false gods. He was one. He’s never understood faith. But with the way Jongdae makes him want to be better, to be good, he thinks he’s beginning to believe.

He really doesn’t need to deal with all of this hungover on a Saturday morning. Last night, he committed one of the most serious offences against his frat: having sex with a member of Epsilon Chi Mu. And this morning, he’s been caught trying to sneak out on him after a one-night stand. He’s pretty sure that if Jongdae had any opinion on him before, it is now drastically low.

Is Jongdae overreaching? Asking too much for himself? After all, what could an infertile omega ever mean to the leader of their pack?

Baekhyun meets Jongdae, but Jongdae meets Chanyeol first.

A stupid game of spin the bottle during a choir retreat should not be a big deal. But somehow, it ends up being the precursor to a handful of locking doors and racing hearts. And lots and lots of questions Baekhyun can't even begin to think about.

The urge to disappear suddenly presented itself one day. There was nothing keeping him in this town, no person he cared for, no obligation he had to fulfill. Nothing. Baekhyun sold his car in exchange for cash the same day, put the two weeks’ notice on his boss’ desk, and started to gradually withdraw money from his bank account. He needed to start over.

At 9:21 AM the ever-popular song from 1987 "It's the End of the World As We Know It" by the band R.E.M started playing on the local radio and by the time it ended, everyone was already dead. Bäekhyun thought he had endured everything by the time the war came to an end. He lost everything and everyone. Death was no longer an enemy, it was a friend. Maybe that’s why he held his chin high when they brought the love of his life back to him.

Several things are commonly known in this small village at the edge of the world. The sun rises in the east. The rooster crows at dawn. Baekhyun is a monster.

Baekhyun thinks his day can't possibly get any worse. What can be worse than having to marry a giant oaf from another planet to save your own planet from dying? Baekhyun just wants Jongdae to know that after this, the tally of kisses he owes him has now broken the millions and he'll never be able to repay them all so he may as well just kiss him forever.
