Jaemin thinks his life is like a boomerang, the question is if whether or not it'll take him out or he'll catch it.

or

Jaemin and Jeno break up at the end of their sophomore year, and Jaemin switches schools for his junior year to focus on his studies, only to return for his senior year.

In which Gryffindor's head boy Lee Jeno is set to marry Slytherin's chaser Na Jaemin for the sake of their families. Also, their friends watch too many muggle movies.

“Should I just blast him from here?” Jaemin asks Jeno, fingers carefully and quietly placing themselves on the small of Jeno’s back. It’s really super fucking ridiculous, the way he feels the warmth of his amplified power coursing through his veins just from having his hand on Jeno and feeling his breath on his skin as Jeno whispers in his ear, “No, you can’t do that.”

(Jaemin's stronger around Jeno, quite literally, and maybe that's not always for the best.)

While people’s mind-voice throws Jaemin off balance, Jeno’s does not. Their complicated friendship sure does, though, but maybe it’s because they'd kissed once and Jaemin just wants to do it again.

The members of Special Forces Unit Dream learn that not every mission goes to plan and to always expect the unexpected.

prompt fill for: Someone is leaving notes in Jaemin's locker, but he never would have guessed who that someone is.

or; sequel to of mysterious post-its, green jacket, and anti climactic discovery, as told by the nation's younger brother himself, jeno.

alternatively; jeno liked jaemin first.

Unite the Kingdoms, they said.

It's a princes duty to do what's best for his nation but Jeno thinks he might draw the line at having to marry the unmannered brat that is Na Jaemin.

Jaemin thinks Jeno needs to learn to live a little but hey! At least he's attractive.

[Jaeno, Jaemin/Jeno, Prince AU]

Jeno dreams about Jaemin a lot, sometimes far more intentionally during the days where the Sun is still up.

Only later that day Jeno realizes that it was the first time he’s struck a deal with a total stranger, though Donghyuck categorizes it as a new, mind-boggling form of flirting.

Or, alternatively: Jeno learns how to actually go past flirting after three years of sidestepping dating in high school.

it's not exactly normal to have a strange boy climbing through your bedroom window in the dead of night. it's even more unusual to have this become a regular occurrence.

mark tries his best to take it all in his stride but it all get's decidedly difficult when a growing crush and a murky backstory keep trying to trip him up.

TALKING CANINES, WORLD DOMINATION AND THE NATION'S CUTEST VILLAIN, EXCLUSIVE STORY AT 9!

Mark just wants to know if Donghyuck's lips taste like butterscotch.

It's the time Mark gets his first broken nose and broken heart, both caused by Donghyuck.

Or alternatively: the one where Mark falls in love with a rival gang's member.

The phoenix feather in the core of their wands connects them, but that's apparently all they have in common. (Except that Donghyuck seems to be made of gold and Mark has always had a thing for him.)

Five times people at Hogwarts questioned Mark and Donghyuck's relationship, and one time any reservations they had about the pair were meaningless.

Really, Mark and Donghyuck are bound to cross paths painting the Seoul streets red with their knuckles and hands.

“Okay,” Donghyuck says, “My immediate response was going to be ‘fuck no’, but I figured that meant I should humour you and your,” he picks up the jar, squinting at the permanent marker and rattling the coin inside, “Seu-we-eo-ja?”

(Mark keeps a swear jar. By NCT Dream's first comeback, it's almost full.)

The members of Special Forces Unit Dream learn that not every mission goes to plan and to always expect the unexpected.

[Minimal Romance, Jaeno, Markhyuck & Chensung, Secret Agent au]

Donghyuck’s new flatmate Mark doesn’t seem any different from expected. He’s nice and polite, and pretty darn cute too. All of that changed when Mark returned home one night with a bloody shirt and a gun in his hand.

Mark just wants to be a regular teenager. Or as regular as an eighteen-year-old sharing his body with a demon can get. And unfortunately for him, Donghyuck loves making things complicated.

“Huh,” Mark huffs, pursing his lips. “What can I do to change your mind?”

“Kiss me again,” Donghyuck says, leaning down again. “Consider it your makeup test.”

genies' characteristics include: - track suits - gold braces - separate stomach for ice cream probably - lee donghyuck

(originally called 'ice cream, sweet nothings and magic')

When Donghyuck first meets Mark, the boy has his hand stuck in a washing machine. Thirty minutes later, he falls in love.

Mark didn't mind summer, he really, really didn't. In fact it might even be one of his favorite seasons, but working his summer away in an Ice Cream Parlour wasn't really his definition of a good time. That is until one day a boy, who glowed like the summer sun, stumbled into the shop.

Delicate. The word that Mark was looking for, to describe Donghyuck’s expression. It was delicate.

And it was all he had been able to think about.

He was all Mark had been able to think about.

Donghyuck snorts. “And I'm the extra one.”

“I guess you're rubbing off on me,” Mark shrugs and sets off quietly.

Donghyuck is a secret agent with too much time on his hands. Mark is a secret agent who has a troubled past. The agency thinks they're perfect to be partnered together permanently.

Add an odd mix of understanding stemming from past encounters of doing missions together and Donghyuck's lingering feelings from his crush on Mark, there just might be hope for something more.

(Spoiler: There is.)

Seoul Police Officer Mark Lee is reassigned to a quiet town, population ~1k. Which is, of course, where he meets the most troublesome (read: annoying) repeat offender of his entire career: street violinist Lee Donghyuck.

Alternatively: Mark is a cop, but who exactly is pursuing who is anyone's guess.

Rule #1 of Starting Your Own Band: DON'T DATE YOUR GODDAMN DRUMMER.

“So you’re telling me, that in the first fucking Quidditch match you showed up to, you basically distracted Mark Lee so he lost his focus and got hit by a Bludger? And now he’s passed out and in the Hospital Wing.”

“Did you hear a word I say, Jaemin? It was a rogue Bludger and he turned around when I accidentally called him useless so he ended up getting hit by it. It’s not really my fault.”

“It literally is though.”

Or: Donghyuck and Mark fall in love during their time at Hogwarts.

“We’re just friends,” Donghyuck says, because they really are. They’re just friends, nothing more, nothing less. “Mark and I, we’re just friends.”

It’s usually not a lie. Usually.

Or, alternatively: five times Donghyuck denies seeing Mark as something more than a friend, and one time he finally doesn’t.

"Listen, Mark. In the worst case scenario where you’re actually in love with me, my only good quality is how well I will love you back and still make it look like I hate your ass. So you just have to deal with it.”

"What do you think I have been doing for the last three years?”

Or, alternatively: Mark ponders over his relationship with Donghyuck in the small booth of a family restaurant.

A voice, quiet but charged with power and age, echoes in his mind.

What do you seek?

The human gasps. “I don’t know,” he whispers. He stills. He thinks. “A purpose? Knowledge.” He chances. “Or… A friend.”

In introduction, summary, and conclusion, Doyoung has lost his freaking mind.

(Or the one in which Taeyong's a Spring Deity and Doyoung is sacrificed to him)

After two years of hiatus, Doyoung is trying to come back through the help of his brother Gong Myung. He sets to do one movie, one drama with a supporting role, a few magazine covers that the company will arrange for him, and a music video with recording artist, Lee Taeyong.

Reaching for the last tub of blueberry yogurt at the same time as an admittedly good looking stranger is not a meet-cute. It’s another inconvenience in Taeyong’s already awful day.

Gongmyung is getting married! Doyoung is troubled with the upcoming changes, but he gets to meet Taeyong along the way. — Doyoung / Taeyong (Life!AU)

It's Halloween night at the movies and Taeyong's never seen a horror flick, or his weird coworker's smile. Both of these things change.

Self-deprecation and fear are the only things Dongyoung has ever known.

Doyoung locks himself out of his apartment. Luckily enough, his next door neighbour’s really nice. And really cute. – Doyoung / Taeyong (Neighbours!AU)

Unfortunately, neither helping to save the world nor retiring from the superhero life allowed Doyoung to avoid having to deal with his feelings for his best friend.

"Yes, that Taeyong," Johnny said, and Doyoung flipped him the bird for no particular reason. It wasn’t an out of the ordinary occurrence, given the circumstances.

Doyoung sputtered, "But I thought he was—"

"He’s been contracted back here in Korea for about a year," Johnny said.

Shortly after breaking up with Doyoung, Taeyong moves to America for a graduate program and a lucrative job opportunity. Life, pushing all the stupid little pieces together, brings Taeyong back five years later for a work contract-- and to partner with Doyoung in planning their best friends' wedding.

Doyoung's prepared for the 18-hour work days of a top investment bank, not so much for spending most of those hours with his boss.

(Or, a banking AU.)

Renjun wonders off looking for apples, and finds Mark, who's wondered off just for the hell of it.

Working the late night shift at a twenty-four hour McDonalds is kind of like being suspended in a weird limbo between the world of the intellectual living and actual Hell but Taeyong would be lying if he said he doesn’t have a little bit of a crush on the cute brunet who comes in the middle of the night every so often, points out his order of a large iced tea with a smile that makes Taeyong weak, and does work on his Macbook until whenever he decides to leave.

Taeyong has a secret. — Taeyong / Doyoung (Life!AU)

doyoung needed a roommate, and taeyong needed a place to stay. one thing leads to another.

It's been six years since they met, and longer since they were best friends, but they made a promise so here they now are - attending to the worst mistake Doyoung has ever made in his entire life.

It's a war of tacky post-it notes and a tackier meet-cute.

(‘I am not uptight, how dare you. You soggy loaf of bread! Have you got no knowledge of any proper work etiquette? Stop insulting me. – Taeyong’

'That wasn't an insult. I'm just describing you :) - Doyoung')

Everyone thought that Taeyong would cut through and break Doyoung at some point

(in which Doyoung kept finding Taeyong dead by his own hands)

It takes Doyoung a pretty long time to figure out why Taeyong is acting strange.

Taeyong has a sweet tooth, and a knack for turning invisible. – Taeyong / Doyoung (Harry Potter!AU)

The cicada was so scorched it looked like a beetle or a paperweight. Dongyoung picked it up, one finger on its nose and the other where its wings would have shuttered with life, once. Taeyong's eyes widened at him, but he said nothing. "So ugly," Dongyoung said, bringing it up to his face. "I'm starving." "Is it... is it heavy?" Dongyoung looked up at Taeyong, cicada touching his chin. "Yeah," he said, "Even without blood, its flesh is still heavy."

“I didn’t take up medicine just to be your little nurse.” Taeyong returns from the kitchen with a wet towel and a bowl of cool water along with the first aid kit. “Also, why is it always spandex? Aren’t you supposed to be a villain, Kim Doyoung?”

Taeyong writes stories about death in his head and hopes to live forever.

In a panicked attempt at reigning himself in, Taeyong notices something he has that the boy doesn't, and without thinking he blurts, "I have fabric softener."

The boy looks up at him like he's got two heads, his eyebrows raised.

"Uh, if you need it," Taeyong clarifies.

Doyoung and Taeyong are like perpendicular lines, always crossing paths and always there yet, so far away.

Dongyoung's life is turned around the moment he knocks on that door and he more or less throws himself into the lives of the single parent and his son who had just moved in next door.

It’s one hell of a rollercoaster, everything happens so fast, complete with all the fun parts and the difficult and scary parts as well.

But now that's his family and he wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Basorexia (n.):

  • an overwhelming urge to neck or kiss
  • a strong craving or hunger for kissing

Or, Five times Taeyong wanted to kiss Doyoung and one time he actually did

They're pretty much strangers, each other's names the only thing they know. Yet, Taeyong is haunted by hair dye and nail art, his lungs filled with cigarette smoke as he drowns.

Doyoung was always up for adventures Until an adventure came for him What will he do when a stranger sailed to his waters?

This Johnny—stoic and brooding in his tight fitting black suit—is much different than the sweet and caring one he'd grown accustomed to seeing behind closed doors.

He kinda likes it.

They're not the same people from when they first met or even when they got married. They have grown into each other, like interlocking vines, inextricable.

Twice Johnny gets to know his roommates, his suitemates, and a whole troupe of other guys. Or does he.

  • he don’t need you for shit but your dick and your veins and your guts and your body and blood

Something’s been wrong with Johnny ever since he was dared to go into that abandoned house.

“How about,” Ten tapped his chin thoughtfully, “I kiss you instead?”

Johnny really hoped it was just his sleep deprived brain hearing things. “What?”

“You.” Ten looked at him as if Johnny was being stupid. “I haven’t kissed you. How am I supposed to know if I’m attracted to men if I haven’t kissed you?”

Or, Ten goes around the dorm kissing people to see if he's gay and Johnny's had enough.

“Sir.” The guard at his side speaks his name softly and Johnny tears his eyes away from the glossy doors in front of him to look to Taeil. “Are you all right?”

“I’ll be fine. It’s what has to be done, after all. If you commit treason against the crown, you have to be prepared for what happens should you be caught.” Johnny swallows hard around the thought of the executioner’s axe, the blade glinting in the afternoon sunlight.

Taeil sighs softly and shakes his head. “That’s not what I mean. The two of you grew up together, did you not? Are you going to be okay after all this is said and done?”

“I have to be.” When Taeil gives him an exasperated expression, Johnny simply sighs at him in return and tents his fingers in front of his mouth. “If I fail now, if I fail to prove I can do this, then Father will never let me take the throne. He won’t see me as worthy if I can’t do this for him. I have to be okay because that is the only way I can take the throne in his place.”

The human child is a curiosity. Ten has seen human children before, but they've usually stared at him for a bit before going back to playing under the tree in which Ten resides. Or trapped in, depending on what mood Ten is in on that day. Or year.

Ten shuts the door with a soft click that echoes throughout the empty hallway. Johnny feels his heart thundering in his chest. He's afraid that if it doesn't calm down, it'll end up breaking all his ribs.

(or: Johnny falls in love with Ten's dancing, and then all the rest of him)

Johnny’s always dreamed of a solo album, but his management refuses to pay attention to him. Who would have thought that getting drunk in a club was all it took for them to notice him?

"Why do you want to know?" Is Ten's response when Youngho asks him about the existence of other magical creatures. "Aren't I magical enough for you?" It's obviously meant to be teasing, but the words strike up something deep in Youngho's chest. He shrugs half-heartedly, embarrassed by how much the words get to him. "Yeah, something like that."

[or: Youngho falls in love with the boy from the sea.]
