I love lists. I make lists all the time... for everything! I got this book from my friend for graduation and it is probably one of the coolest gifts ever.

Why I'm happy the school year is over

  • Spending time with my family and Schaumburg friends this summer! I've missed everyone soooo so much. My high school friends are so important to me, it'll finally be nice to just be able to chill again. And I love my family; I've missed living at home this year.
  • I get so see the rest of Wyatt's track meets!
  • NO MO' CLASSES. I get to take a nice break from drawing and all those random gen ed classes. I'll be working, so I'll be earning money instead of spending money!
  • I have the use of a car at home.
  • I can run outside at night without fear of being raped/kidnapped/mugged.
  • Flyers games, White Sox games, Reds game, Royals game!!!
  • Racing with my Dad!
  • Friends visiting me in Chicago, going to the Brewers game with Toni, maybe visiting Kentucky/Wisconsin. :)
  • Going to the beach.
  • Going to Arlington to bet on some horses! Woo!
  • NO MO' CAMPUS FOOD...

Why I'm sad the school year is over

  • I'm really really gonna miss my friends from school. It seriously just hit me yesterday while Maggie, Deepa, and I were studying for our last history test. I don't have boatloads of friends but I have a few really really close ones that I'm gonna miss so much. And of course everyone lives in Kentucky while I'll be in IL. And Toni is still six hours away even though she lives in Wisconsin! So sad! :(
  • Trevor... my favorite squirrel ever. I'm gonna miss him. He brightens my day.
  • No U of L sports for the summer... aka free baseball games.
  • I feel like I did so much, yet so little at the same time.
  • I always feels sad when classes are over, mostly because I'm gonna miss the people from those classes, not necessarily the classes in general.
  • Sure, Threlkeld Hall is not the best place to live, but I will miss it... a teeny tiny bit. The location is awesome, and I loved my RA, Katy.

Why next school year will be fun

  • Photography class! It'll be a lot of work, but I've missed working in the dark room.
  • Being the secretary for GRASS... I'm excited to be more invested in the group. Plus all the people who started the group are graduating after next year so I'm going to have to take charge!
  • Following the Forks... an honors seminar where I get to go on four weekend excursions canoeing down the Forks River. :)
  • Living in a nicer place than Threlkeld... cooking my own food... having my bike at school... a real room to myself... a great roommate... my own bathroom... the list goes on...
  • Better food next year. I can cook my own food and also they're building the new cafeteria right next to my new dorm.
  • Being Vice President of Community Service for NSCS... I'm really hoping to get the group involved. I also would like to be VP for P.A.C.E.
  • Mentor with either CFES or Brooklawn... or find somewhere else to mentor!
