• the fact that every band says Portland is their favorite city

• the great music festival that is Musicfest Northwest
• the Zine scene (even though I'm not in it)
• the camaraderie of the citizens
• the 'neighborhood improvement' projects (ie large mural in the intersection)
• the trumpet player downtown that I feel is my friend, I see him so much

• the Portland Art Museum
• the sadness of Chinatown

• the homeless people
