My sweetie Taliya,
Whenever I think of how we became friends, my mind draws a blank. Sure we've had a few classes together and we're in the same major, but it's almost like we were truly meant to be in each other's lives.
I believe we were officially locked in as friends (based on my pictures lol) when you were looking for food places to try out before move-out and was willing to take a risk on me with my crazed obsession of Germain's. Sure there was the group hagout at Daydreamer Café after splash a Trailblazer, but since that was in a group setting and not one-on-one I'm deffering to the next situation. Eitherway, I've come to notice that not many people take my suggestions and I seriously, and not only were you willing to try out Germain's, you wanted to try it with me! Shortly after, you took it upon yourself to clean the mala office, a task I later adopted because I was as invested in its cleanliness as you were. Although the office gets destroyed daily (minimum), my love for you is something that cannot be tarnished.
When I think of you, the first thing that comes to mind is your smile, and how it is always capable of brightening up a room should you choose to
I love experiencing joyous moments with you. Whether that's in random adlibs to songs you may or may not know, yelling with me while playing New Super Mario Bros. (I'm still calling it by it's government in this letter don't play), the shock we both felt during the possum scene in Adults, or the genuine conversations we're capable of having. Being your friend is has never invoked wariness. I know you'll always be there for me and I hope you know that I'm always here for you.
It took me a bit longer than most to get acclimated to UF; I would go as far as to say I didn't make any real friends until spring semester of freshman year. I am forever grateful that one of those friends was you. Happy birthday.
Love always, Amanda
