It's time to finish the list I started earlier. The list ended in March 2008 and it's time to pick it up from there. Wow, March 2008 is almost two years ago. Daaamn. Time flies. Aaanyway:

  • The last Templar by Raymond Khary (april 2008). After reading The DaVinci-Code and Angles & Demons I was having this HUGE obsession with Holy Grail-related stuff. This book kind of bored me, I must say and was a bit of a let down.
  • (Somewhere in the middle of all this I re-read the Harry Potter-series)
  • Digital Fortress by Dan Brown (april 2008). DAAMN, i must admit, I'm not big on numbers and stuff, but this book was brilliant and swept me literally off my feet. I LOVED this book.
  • Enduring Love by Ian McEwan (may 2008).
  • The Alchemist by Paulo Cohelo (may 2008). I hated this book. Don't even get me started. In other words: I can't for the life of me understand what the hell all the HYPE is about. *headdesk*
  • The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon (june 2008). This book made me laught and I found it incredibly charming, yet it still not my kind of book, if you get my drift.
  • The mermaid chair by Sue Monk Kidd (july 2008).
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (july 2008). This book swept me off my bloody feet. Enough said.
  • On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan (july 2008).
  • Wheel Of Time by Robert Jordan (july 2008- march 2009). I started reading the prologue New Spring and ended with reading book 11 Knife of Dreams. I was blown away by this series and have loved it ever since. I fell in love and it became such a big obsession. It still is (I'm following the re-read on tor.com) and I officially fell in love with fantasy literature.
  • A Shadow on the Glass by Ian Irvine (march 2009). This is the first book in this series and when I think about it, it kind of bugs me that I haven't gotten around to reading the whole thing yet. I remember liking it a lot. Some of the desriptions were one of the best I've ever read. But my reading list seem to stretch up to the heavens right now, so reading it at the moment seems kind of... impossible to say the least.
  • The Deed of Paksenarrion (1-3) by Elizabeth Moon (march 2009-may 2009). I kind of liked it. It's too long, I'll admit, but Paksenarrion is kickass.
  • Wuthering Heights by Charlotte Brontë (june 2009). A classic everyone should read. In other words I loved it. Demonic love is something that truly fascinates me.
  • (I re-read Harry Potter in june as well)
  • Honningfellen by Unni Lindell (july 2009). Criminal fiction from one of the best authors in Norway.
  • Magician: Apprentice & Master by Raymond Feist (july 2009).
  • The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris (1-9) (august 2009- october 2009). I started watching True Blood during the summer of 2009 and fell head over heels with vampires. When I learned was based on a book series, I decided (against my better judgement) to start reading it. I love the Sookie Stackhouse series. Probably because I love True Blood as well, with this being very "simple" literature and all. It still makes MY blood tingle.
  • The Black Jewels by Anne Bishop (october 2009). I read this triology in a week. It consumed me, took hold of me and wouldn't let go. I became obsessed with it. I read every available waking moment I had. This is definitely one of my favorite books. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Did I mention I LOVE IT?
  • The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown (october 2009). I liked this book better than the his previous novels. I thought it was great!
  • The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson (november 2009). When I finally got my hands on this book (after many a day's wait) I started shivering. I don't know if it was because there had been such a long wait or simply because it was effing brilliant, but I thought this was one of the best books in the series. I love the fact that they decided to make the "end" into three volumes, instead of just one. It's going to be hard when that third volume is on sale and I'm forced to read it. It will be like saying goodbye to a friend you love who's going away and whom you won't see ever again. I'll cry. Like a baby.
  • The Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin (december- present). This is in other words what I'm currently reading. I was having a break in between the first and the second book (playing Dragon Age) and I found that it was hard to begin reading again. I was really struggling with all the kings and queens and successions and all that. Really struggling. I find that kind of stuff to be utterly BORING. I'm almost finished with part one of the third book now (yes, it's a part two of the same book. it's a big monster of a book I'll tell ya) and I'm starting to really like this series. I'm not saying I'm in love like I am with WOT. I'm not as obsessed as I was with TBJ. But I definitely like it. Though I must admit, I'm looking forward to reading something else.

And that was my big old list of what I've read since I seriously started having a major crush on what we like to call BOOKS. It adds up to something of about a hundred books. And that's only the books I have in my bookshelf, mind you. My memory sucks big time and there's probably a bunch of books I've forgot to add. Well well. I'm starting an in-depth project in norwegian pretty soon and my topic will be norwegian fantasy. I must admit, I'm getting pretty excited to see what the norwegian fantasy enviorement have got to offer. Sadly that means that my future to read book list will be put on hold. I will be able to read part one of the third book in ASOIAF, but that's about it. Then I'm all commited to my in depth project. Ah, well well. It'll work itself out, I'm sure!
