I just finished my reading list for febuary a couple of minutes ago, and i tell you, it wasn't pretty. more about that later, now; the verdict:

  • Dust of Dreams by Steven Erikson. I've realized that after reading Erikson I've come to demand so much more of fantasy. I don't know if that's a bad or a good thing. Dust of Dreams did not let me down. The last hundred pages were intense and gave me chills all over the place. I'm nervous for the last installment of the series, though.
  • Hero of the Ages by Brandon Sanderson. It wasn't as fast moving as the first book, but it was still a page turner and a good book to complete the trilogy.
  • Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay. The language of this book was so flowing and I really fell in love with the characters and sympathised with the bad guys and started doubting where my loyalties lay, I still must say I expected... more. Is that cruel? It was a great book, and I cried for the last 30 pages or so. UTTERLY HEARTBREAKING. This book conveyed emotion in a rare way, which is one of the things I loved about it. It was a great book, no doubt about it, but being the fantasy freak it seems... weird... for an installment to just be one book. It seems... naked somehow.

Three thumbs up from me. And now: The Broken Kingdoms by J.K Nemisin!
