Resolutions:

  • Be more kind to: the earth, to others, and to yourself.
  • Eat less “CRAP,” eat more “FOOD”.
    • "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants" -Michael Pollan
    • Indulge in foods you enjoy, but not to the point of regretting it after. Moderation is key.
    • "'Indulgences should be really worthwhile and thoughtful,' [...] not just stuff you mindlessly munch on." -Marissa Lippert
  • Learn to sleep well (not too much, not too little).
  • Be more active.
  • Take the initiative more often.
  • Get in touch with your "spiritual" side.
    • Learn more about Buddhism and Hinduism and similar religions and pick and choose certain concepts to incorporate into your everyday life.
  • Stay inspired.

Reminders:

  • Take care of yourself (physically and mentally).
  • If your life feels like a mess, do something about it. YOU are in control of YOUR life.
  • "Feelings are just visitors, let them come and go." — Mooji
    • Don’t become attached to emotions. They are fleeting, they come and go. Savor the happiness and bliss, but know that you will also feel pain, sadness, anxiety and the plethora of negative emotions. Don’t let them cripple you. Remember to just breathe.
  • Sometimes it’s good to dive into things head-on. But sometimes, it’s better to take things one step at a time. Use your best judgement.
  • Be patient.
  • No one can save you. You, ultimately, have to save yourself. (1/19/2014)
  • "Turn soft and lovely any time you have a chance" -Jenny Holzer (1/25/2014).
  • Listen to your body.
  • Don't let the anxiety cripple you. You are not doomed or damned. You have more control over your life than you give yourself credit for. You are doing okay. Breathe. Don't take things so seriously. (6/18/2013)
