So friends, this is an exercise in ego, but I can live with that. It's also the easiest way to encourage stalkers without seeming entirely nuts. I'll live with that too.

About: I'm a student at UBC in lovely, rainy Vancouver. I live in an old house in the city with some rad roommates and a lot of house plants. I'm a writer, reader, activist, cyclist, and a history and anthropology major.

  • What is the role of Sabbath in the lives of Christians in the 21st century- what does Sabbath look like practically? (It is, after all, one of the ten big'uns- why don't we care when we break that commandment?)
  • We've emasculated the angels and all but forgotten the existence of demons. How do we fix this?
  • Something does not come from nothing: why I believe we evolved but were still created. (possible sermon here- life begets life, when Lazarus was resurrected, that should have been a real "aha" moment for everyone. We'd already seen that one once before! Genesis chapter one, life comes not from nothing, but from God (life incarnate) himself).
  • Can women be ministers? (this is sort of a tentative inquiry, and an intensely personal one. I'm only really edging out onto the ice because of how BLATANTLY IRRATIONAL and COMPLETELY ARROGANT and SELF-IDOLIZING it is to build an entire theology around one out-of-context verse in all of scripture about women being able to teach. Basically, I'm not saying women can be ministers, in the modern sense of the word, but that all the arguments I've heard against us have been illogical and unfounded). You can see I'm a little pissed, right? I have no patience whatsoever for people who substitute their own opinions for God's word and then cherry-pick scripture to back it all up. Breaking some serious commandments here- lying, idolatry, self-love...
