- i was born in santa rosa, california on may 17th, 1985.
- i lived in LA for about 8 months when i was a baby.
- i met taylor, my best childhood friend at the age of 2 when she moved next door to me in santa rosa.
- my brother was born on my third birthday.
- my dad, mark, works as a geologist for the state of california, and my mom, kerrie, worked at the unitarian universalist fellowship most of my childhood.
- we moved and i changed schools at the age of 7.
- my mom was a surrogate for my aunt and uncle and thus, carried and birthed my cousin aurora when i was 8.
- i took a sewing class of sorts from a woman at the fellowship when i was about 10.
- i began the worst two years of my life (otherwise known as junior high) when i was 13.
- my parents split up at the end of 8th grade.
- i became a christian at age 14.
- i dated a guy named mike for three years, from 15 to 18 which resulted in his sister faith being my best friend and his family becoming very dear to me.
- i got my first sewing machine for my 16th birthday and have been sewing ever since.
- my dad got married to my step-mom kathy in 2002 (i think).
- i tested out of high school and never went back after my 17th birthday.
- i began at calvary chapel bible college in the spring of my 17th year, after a semester at the santa rosa junior college.
- i met, dated, and became engaged to rick from january to july of 2003. i broke it off two months later.
- my granny died in june of 2004.
- i dated a sweet guy named rob for almost a year and a half.
- i got my first tattoo when i was 19.
- i went to visit faith at bible college in york, england, the only time i have been overseas so far.
- i worked at my favorite job, belden house which is a home for people with brain injuries, from april to august of 2005.
- i moved to minneapolis, minnesota in september of 2005.
- i worked with developmentally disabled adults for almost the entire time i lived in minneapolis.
- i met and dated a great guy named joel in the summer of 2006 who then moved to canada, broke my heart, and married another girl named kate 14 months later.
- i took a six week, 7200 mile road trip in the summer of 2007.
- my uncle and grandmother on my dad's side died the summer i as traveling.
- i moved from minnesota to alexandria, virginia in august 2007 to go back to school and work as a nanny. i quickly found out i didn't like it there.
- i experienced a tumultuous summer of relationship ambiguity in 2008.
- i moved to roanoke, virginia in september 2008.
- marcus and i moved to winston-salem, nc in july 2010. we got two dogs and one of my cats back.
- marcus and i broke up in february 2012, which had been a long time coming. i took the two dogs and moved out on my own in may 2012.
- i started dating ian dennis in september 2012, a refreshing relationship.
