my family never really had game nights or anything but

• every once in a while my mom and brother and i would play life. for some reason my mom always ended up with lots of children.
• hi ho cheerio. my granny and grandpa had a great game cupboard at their house.
• candyland, at either of my grandparents houses.
• the barbie game. you tried to become prom queen with dates named things like pointdexter. it was from when my mom was a child.
• taylor and i would play the little mermaid in her grammy's pool on sacramento. she always got to be the little mermaid and i always got to be the wave. haha. she was the dominant personality between the two of us.
• i would spend the night at my granny and grandpa's house occasionally and we would play lots of card games, mostly ones that we made up. i remember one night in particular where we stayed up until 4 am and every hour we would play a card game and eat a small bowl of ice cream. oh, the simplicities of being young.
• chutes and ladders. another granny and grandpa's house game.
• yahtzee. i just always liked this game for some reason.
