List of top ten things I spend my money on, is a pseudo-hierchy type of order, but not really.

  • 1 Public Transportation: I spend most of my money on just riding the bus, train, riding the trolley, subway, or sometimes I pay for a cab, which I rarely do because the cabbies here do not turn on the meter they just wing it, and I am not down with that. Public transportation has become an increased tool of saving money and getting anywhere. However, it does entail a few things like waking up earlier, relying on other people, being on other peoples' schedules, and expecting the unexpected.
  • 2 Clothes: I spend so much on clothes, and they really are not that nice at all. They usually are from thrift stores and I go on half days like Wednesdays or last Fridays for what I still call "Midnight Mayhem", it isn't called that anymore, but whatever, everything in the store is half off. This Friday everything will be half off at the Salvation Army and guess who is going, yours truly.
  • 3 Alcohol: How my life turned into drinking suds each week-end beats me, but I spend a lot on beers. Luckily, I have taken a break from going to bars, because that usually ends up with me buying one shot too many and waking up hungover. Unfortunately, I still go to parties, which means, I do not have to pay for anything, people just give me a drink, and I have one of those mentalities, that I cannot let that go to waste.
  • 4 Stogues: I guess I smoke pretty constantly, but not enough where I need to buy them by the carton. I also feel like I am not addicted to them, I never really get addicted to anything, but it really has turned into more than something I do socially, especially since I do buy my own pack. The cigarettes I buy cost almost eight dollars a pack because they are organic and what not (American Spirits Perique Blend), but they are the best though, I would roll them myself, if the pack of rollies was not double that plus I have to buy zig-zags because the rolling papers, although biodegradeable, the glue, organic, does not stick. Besides, I cannot, not since my stoner day.
  • 5 Food: I eat out occasionally, mostly for things I cannot cook myself. I like going out to sushi. I realize though I say that, I usually go and buy a burrito. I don't know why, seeing as I could probably make it, with tortillas that do not taste like raw biscuit dough. I also go out and buy vegetarian food, American, and Italian(pastas). I also eat here at the campus cafeteria. I feel like I should shift this and spend it on just buying a whole lot of goodness and keeping a stocked fridge at home. My diet lately ahs become more and mor eimportant. By no means, am I overweight, but I feel like I can afford to lose a stone. Not only that, but I need to be responsible and be more aware of what goes into my system.
  • 6 Copies: I know this is silly, but I love making copies. Colour copies, black and white. I do them as much as I can. On campus I print things out for classes, but sometimes recreationally, copying books and other papers.
  • 7 Debt: I do not have much debt, believe me. I have paid off my fines I owed to the government, but I still have not paid my public library fines, and I still have to pay some fines from the library on campus. Woops.
  • 8 Tuition: College in general, I have to pay for. Whether it is registration, books(!), ASB representation fee, health fee, parking permit, identification card etc. I pay for it and my money goes to that.
  • 9 Photography: This is one of those love-hate situations. Although I love shooting analogue. It costs so much as anybody can complain does. Whenever I can, I put my money to that. Getting the 35mm film processed I can make the price go low by shipping it out instead of one hour. Getting my 120 film processed, costs triple the 35mm. I have so much rolls of film just waiting to be developed. Even if I do that, I still have to go out and buy more film. Also, I have to buy a new flash, fix another hammerhead flash, get a new 120 camera, and I want a new digital camera, the Nikon D5000 looks like a prospect. I love the swivel LCD screen I know Canon makes one like that, but my friend already has it, so I can just borrow hers if I ask.
  • 10 Supplies: I buy a lot of art supplies. I need so many things from craft stores, even if I don't really need them. Since the holidays are approaching, I have to go there more frequently to get inspiration and possibly supplies for gifts. I also buy supplies for general living, like sunscreen, deoderant, spritz, things like that.

I need to get a job.
