- Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
- I wrote SO much more than I’ve ever have this year since I started writing fics. I remember my first kpop related fic was in the beginning of 2014. It was so bad, it’s gone forever.
- What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
- UP10TION (because they weren’t announced until July), Seventeen (because at first, I didn’t want to stan), iKON (WIPS), B1A4 (WIPS), and Teen Top (because I didn’t really like them until this summer when I finally took time to watch their variety shows, RIP). I didn’t expect to write for Chanbaek. I don’t hate the pairing (I was chanbaek af when I got into EXO) but I don’t like the shippers because they’re kinda...wild.
- What's your own favorite story of the year?
- I don’t know why but I really liked “Pick Your Flavor"
- Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
- I joined fic fests and opened up fic fests. I think towards the end of the year I joined way too many and decided to withdraw from a lot. I learned to meet deadlines and how to write longer fics. I can get to 2k without struggling, I’ve even got a fic that 6k. My writing has improved dramatically over the past few months
- Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?
- I have a whole doc on google entitled “IDEAS” with a lot of prompts/ideas I’ve thrown back and forth with friends and I would really like to write them all (hopefully).

- My best story of this year:
- Personally, I think my best story this year was “Theory Of You And I” just because it was my first time writing such a long fic.
- My most popular story of this year:
- I don’t think there was a popular story. I don’t have much readers outside of my mutuals on twt.
- Most fun story to write:
- Definitely “Let’s Get Physical”. I’m a sucker for doctor aus!
- Story with the single sexiest moment:
- The opening to "Pick Your Flavor” because it’s literally Kyungsoo getting a blowjob from Chanyeol.
- Most "holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
- All of “Pick You Flavor” because it kinda seems like I’m okay with cheating when I am not but I have a love-hate relationship with this fic.
- Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
- “The Theory Of You And I” made me love Chanyeol and Jongdae more than I already did. I got to toy a bit with their attitudes and their interest and interpret them the way i think they’d be behind the camera. Also making Chanyeol a Doctor Who obsessed, salsa loving, fire wielding, cellist was fun. I feel like Chanyeol would be the one to dance to the calming music at a bookstore.
- “Warmth Of Your Palm (Against Mine)” made me realize the actual dynamics of Sungjoon and Dongyeol. Not only did I subconsciously write this accurately, but I took a pairing that’s ‘non existent’ in the eyes of most of the fandom and wrote something sweet and simple. I really like how Dongyeol sort leans on his hyungs irl. It’s endearing. Sungjoon also just happens to let people hold him and I’m all for that. Sign me the fuck up.
- Hardest story to write:
- “Pick Your Flavor” was extremely hard to write. Not only because it was based off a song about cheating but because it was for an exchange instead of just claiming a prompt willingly. I really loved this fic regardless because it was some of my best work (even though I bullshitted my way through it the day before I had to submit it to my assigned beta. Yikes!).
- Biggest surprise:
- When I wrote “Warmth Of Your Palm (against mine)”. That whole thing was a HUGE surprise. I didn’t even plan this out. The entire fic didn’t have names or anything until I felt like Dongyeol and Sungjoon would do it justice.
- Most unintentionally telling story:
- Probably “The Chronicles Of Life And Death And Everything Between”. I didn’t intend to even write or publish it.
- Favorite Opening Lines / Introductions:
- "”Soonyoung, where the hell are we going?" Jihoon huffed.” -"Height Control”
