- Star Butterfly, also known as Star the Underestimated, is a princess of the Kingdom of Mewni. Star is very friendly, energetic, creative, has a happy-go-lucky attitude, is extremely violent and sometimes can be a little selfish. She loves puppies, pretty colors, traveling, having fun, and screaming; she talks too loud and laughs too much, and is often caught spacing out. Star's optimism and enthusiasm can border on recklessness, to the point of endangering the people around her with her antics. She has rather simplistic views on concepts such as leadership and responsibility and, while rarely ever angry, she does express annoyance towards people who do not take her seriously. Despite that, Star is known for working very hard towards her goals, so much so that she will sometimes end up greatly sleep-deprived, tired and moody. She also has a long list of weird habits, such as kicking doors and a nervous tic where she's always chewing on the top of her wand.
