  • Use Blackle.com (the energy-saving Google)
  • No plastic. If I'm only buying a few items, I forego the plastic bag. (It takes 1000 years for plastic to decompose, guys)
  • Avoid using straws (plastic!!)
  • Keep the receipt and use it as scratch paper.
  • Re-use or re-print old documents for scratch paper.
  • Don't get a receipt from the ATM.
  • Switch off the lights when not needed.
  • Commute or carpool.
  • Pick up litter and throw at the appropriate bin.
  • Never throw out anything while in the car or driving.
  • Always make sure the tap is not running
  • Avoid styrofoam
  • Try to make sure everything I use is reusable.
  • Never crumple paper so they are still recyclable.
  • Donate old books.
  • Half-flush only (when applicable, of course)
  • Unplug appliances when not in use
  • Use the stairs
  • Walk
  • When driving, make sure I am not the only in the car (maximize fuel consumption and decrease my personal carbon footprint)
  • Use a re-usable mug or tumbler when drinking my morning choco/tea (i'm not a coffee person)
