• notes : ough... this one kinda hurt. a lot. most memory loss fics just focus on amnesia, which is to say the memory loss is temporary and there's usually a happy ending. but for fics like this one where the memory loss is permanent, it really hits you. imo i feel like people overlook how painful and sad it is for a person who used to be so close to someone to have zero memory of their time together while said other person remembers everything (probably more than they wished considering the circumstance). but yeah the author does a great job (as always—can you tell i love ao3 user cityboys) at building this little canon divergent world where yuuji lives but forgets everything about megumi and nobara and the jujutsu world in general while the people who used to be so close to him must grieve at a distance
