✧ Book: It End's With Us by Colleen Hoover

• Honestly, the hype around this book is real and worth it!
• I've been on such a roller coaster of emotions with this book (happy, sad, butterflies, and everything in between.
• Personally, I don't think I've ever cried reading a book, so this was definitely something new for me.
• I can't say much about this without spoilers, but just trust me and give it a read!
• 10/10 definitely recommend if you're on the fence!

>>M E M O R I E S<<

✧ SURPRISE MONTHSARY DATE! ♡

• Our monthsary landed on a Wednesday this month and I happened to have the day off. The boyfriend's work schedule has him on every Wednesday, so it's no surprise to me that we wouldn't celebrate on this day specifically. We've actually talked about doing something the upcoming Saturday for our late monthsary celebration.
• I sleep in and get a call from Nick telling me that he's outside my house! I immediately check out my window and see his car parked in my driveway, so I run down to let him in.
• As soon as I see him, he's dressed up nicely and I'm like "Wtf are you doing here?! You're supposed to be at work!"
• Tells me he secretly took the day off ahead of time and made dinner reservations somewhere (wouldn't tell me where).
• Few hours later, I get dressed and we head over to our reservation, which I still had no idea where. All he told me was that I've been talking about it a lot.
  • Had absolutely no clue where because I talked about a lot of places lol
• As we got closer to the destination, I already knew where we were going!! He made reservations to this fancy restaurant that has one of the best views of the city by the water. He also picked the perfect time slot because we were able to see the sunset and buildings light up as night fell. ♡
• I have, in fact, mentioned this place before with him, but wasn't sure when or if we would actually go! The food was amazing, the vibes were nice, and the view was absolutely stunning since we were in a booth that faced windows with the view in front of us.
• The whole day was perfect and so unexpected! It's been a while since we actually had a proper date. From surprising me on my day off (for our monthsary) and thinking he was at work this whole time and also surprising me with this restaurant I've been wanting to go to gave me butterflies all over again!
• I appreciate everything that he did, especially taking the day off and planning this whole surprise for our monthsary! ♡

✧ FAMILY WEEKEND

• Spent the weekend with Nick's side of the family!
• Saturday:
  • Went to the zoo with his whole family since his nephew loves animals!
  • After zoo, we went to a nearby park and rode one of those swan bikes on the lake :)
    • We saw his sister walking with her son and husband, since they didn't get on the lake with us, so when we reached her on the side, she hopped right in our swan on a whim lmao
  • Within the proximity, there was a restaurant where we had dinner around a fire.
• Sunday:
  • Botanical Garden! Unfortunately, a majority of the plants and flowers haven't bloomed yet, so everything outside just looked so naked lol We do plan on going back after we give them some time to bloom lol
  • Took his parents to eat in the city at one of our favorite places!
• Overall: it's been a while since we spent some time with his family, especially his parents. Taking his parents out and showing them new places to experience is always a heartfelt feeling since they don't go out often. As our parents get older, it's so worth the time of going out and spending time with them. They have sacrificed so much that it's time we show them around so they can take a break and see what the world has to offer.
