- our spontaneous wednesday afternoon road trip to richmond to fulfill a *personal* invite to chill with the J A B B A W O C K E E Z. i mean, f*ck! this one thing alone was enough to make 2009 the best. i woke up that morning expecting to spend the whole day studying. but before going to bed that night, i had somehow driven (with my girls in tow) a couple hundred miles, attended an nkotb concert, offered to take phi nguyen on a date, and sat around a hotel lobby at 1 am eating pizza with the sexiest male hip hop dancers on earth. god i love my life.
- FINALLY graduated with my BA in english / linguistics
- after graduating, i finally got to go on vacation! hadn't had a week off work since 2006. crazy.
- going back to cali, cali, cali... ;) my heart has taken permanent residence in norcal since 2000. and i had a ridiculously good time this summer.
- roots concert in san francisco was maybe the best roots show i've ever been to
- the beautiful drive down highway 1 to socal - unforgettable
- socal! my mom's side of the family! jason! disney! & the highlight of my vacation- MEDIEVAL TIMES! haha
- i got a raise & promotion without asking. it was actually arranged by my boss & DM while i was on vacation.
- the position i got promoted to is basically the most enviable position anyone can have at the store level: full-time hourly. so awesome. (full-time salary gets cheated out of sooo much pay...)
- my best friend and i got pregnant within 6 weeks of one another. then another one of our good friends got pregnant 2 weeks after i did. so we got to go through our pregnancies together, which was nice.
- i could ask for no greater blessing than a baby. especially knowing he is the product of a great relationship, and that we are going to be a solid family.
- my DM sent me to new jersey to help her out for a week. flattering. and it was a lot of work, but i had so much fun.
