Hongjoong glanced down at the bag that had been dropped at his feet. Everything they had lost, everything he had lost, recovered. He looked up. A steel gaze was already locked on him. Before he could grasp the words, Seonghwa turned and walked back to the van. Everyone followed suit, leaving Hongjoong to slide into the front passenger seat last.
Hongjoong is ace, and they want to have sex with Seonghwa. Not because they feel aroused, but as a way of showing their love and trust. They want to explore and make their boyfriend feel good.
Seonghwa used to be loved for the kind individual he was, but now that's changed. Because he presented as an omega with a scent of roses and honey that made his classmates crazy. And as he moves from highschool into college he resigns himself to friendless loneliness, because every interaction he's had has been an alpha flirting with him, pressuring him, touching him without him wanting them to.
Cue, Kim Hongjoong. An alpha that treats him like a person and not like a sex object.
being the leader of the group, the burden sits heavy on his shoulders, keeping him under constant pressure. when hongjoong finally breaks, seonghwa’s embrace puts his pieces back together, mending him to someone even stronger.

a week of hongjoong not going home from the studio, and one time he finally does.
“...I want another baby.” Seonghwa spoke very quietly as Hongjoong’s mind went very blank; that sentence was probably the number one thing that made any alpha’s rut ten times worse.
Seonghwa is a romantic who believes that love conquers all. It's ironic that he is also hopelessly in love with his best friend and has been suffering from hanahaki for years.
Hongjoong has been ignoring Seonghwa lately and he can't take that sitting down.
Looks like Mommy needs to remind him.
Mommy always gets what he wants
“You make love to me like it’s a mere formality, are you tired of me Commander?”
Story where Seonghwa wonders why the Alpha who has always been madly in love with him, didn't want to mate with him anymore? Even though the Omega had expressed that he too had feelings towards the other, and they have been living together as a couple for almost an year, with their daughter nonetheless.

Park Seonghwa decides to finally kill Kim Hongjoong, for good.
“What are we doing, Hwa?”
A fair question. They are supposed to be broken up. Seonghwa broke his heart and Hongjoong probably hasn’t forgiven him. Officially, they aren’t together, but that doesn’t seem to mean anything considering they’re right back where they started. Seonghwa thinks he knows exactly what they’re doing. In the words of Wooyoung:
“Crashing and burning,” he replies, barely above a whisper before chasing Hongjoong’s lips again, being met halfway with a hum of agreement.
park seonghwa, the bane of the university's existence. given that hongjoong's patience runs dry the minute he opens his mouth, picking a fight in a shed closed off to most of the student population was not his smartest idea.
but really, he was doing the world a favor- that is, if the fight ever did happen in the first place, hongjoong would not be able to tell.
The fact that Seonghwa was a virgin was not an issue at all in itself, but it kind of was one in this particular context. Hongjoong wasn't lying when he said he got pretty aggressive in his ruts - he liked rough sex as a norm, but it was particularly hard to avoid while he was deep into the daze.
Losing your virginity to a stranger alpha in rut sounded like an extremely bad idea.
He had almost texted the omega to cancel everything when he had come to the sudden realization of his lack of experience, but he hadn’t. Hongjoong would like to think it's because of a noble reason, but the truth is that there was actually nothing honorable behind his reasoning.
He just wanted to fuck Seonghwa. Plain and simple.
(Or: Hongjoong is an alpha looking for the right partner to spend his rut with in a niche heat hookup app and Seonghwa is an omega who is pretending not to be a virgin even though he is because he wants to get railed by an alpha in rut.)
Hongjoong had always known that this would be his last life. He had seen it all, over and over again, the beginning and the end. And he was tired of it. The way the light filtered through the leaves of the tree. The sunrise - it held no wonder for him anymore. Only apathy. Melancholy.
Until he met a boy, with black hair and wonder in his eyes, who looked at the world like he had never seen it before.
Seonghwa had many things to adjust to. A new home, a new role, a new husband - a husband that to him was merely just a stranger. Would he ever be more?
Seonghwa wants a baby? Hongjoong will give him a baby.
in life, everyone has a soulmate. whether it be a friend, a family member or a lover, everyone has that special someone assigned to them by fate. lose your soulmate however and you suffer in the most painful ways known to man.
hongjoong realises what it feels like to lose the love of your life and sign your own death certificate.. for the sake of love.
Upon getting a new hot doctor, Seonghwa found it practically impossible to be sane around him. All his attempts at finessing the doctor (see being provocative) didn't seem to work and jerking off was becoming routine after his appointments. Well, one thing led to another, and now he was faced with an unforeseen circumstance that one Dr. Kim might be able to assist him with.
The pounding of the heart would sound the same as the screeching cries that filled the first night, man and beast alike, and it was a sound that would never dim even as the days passed. There would be only one who walked away with their life at the very end, battered in blood and body torn beyond recognition. There would be only one who could look over their shoulder one last time before leaving the arena as they left, memories and lives forgotten forever.
There could be only one.
Seonghwa is an alpha. But he hates it. He hates his ruts. He hates his scent. He hates being an alpha. He wants to be someone's pretty omega.
Hongjoong is an alpha with a pretty smile and he always calls Seonghwa a pretty omega.
Hongjoong thought he fell in love too late.
Seonghwa proves him right... and then wrong.
As Young Children Seonghwa Promises Hongjoong to become a big strong alpha and make the soon to be omega his mate. They're a fated pair after all.
But that was a fairytale and they haven't seen each other in 10 years. Not to mention he became an Omega.
When hot shot producer Lucky comes in to town he can't help but think he looks familiar. And it's his old childhood crush and he can't help but ask him to help with his incoming heat.
The second crown prince, the spare, Seonghwa is surprised when his calligraphy lessons isn't happening. Instead there's a beautiful man in a royal blue hanbok laying there fanning himself, laying on the pillows like he owns the castle. Worst of all the man is the Wild Pirate King, Kim HongJoong.
The truth is, Seonghwa hasn't been well for a while now, probably longer than he'll ever admit to, and now that everything is culminating into the awful cramps he's been feeling, he's a little scared that he's waited too long to get himself checked; what could have been easy enough to take care of feels like it's killing him, and he finally understands what it means to die a slow, painful death.
Or maybe he just ate something bad. He's not really sure.
All he knows for certain is that it's getting worse.
Hongjoong lives in a home of eight omegas. He returns home to Seonghwa in the midst of a painful heat, who’s always a little too shy to ask others for for help. Good thing Hongjoong is there to care for him.
When Hongjoong has to stop taking his suppressants, he is not looking forward to the prospect of his heat. Luckily Seonghwa is there for him, promises to be his heat partner no matter what happens. They’ve planned for everything, just not that Seonghwa would go into his heat as well...
oh well, they’ll get through it together
Seonghwa thought that Hongjoong hated him. And well, he might as well hate him back. Except, he didn't hate Hongjoong. He could never hate Hongjoong. And maybe, just maybe, Hongjoong didn't hate him either.
{or Seongjoong moments from 2017-2020}
Hongjoong finds Seonghwa in a field of marigolds.
A scream ripped out of his throat but it was quickly suppressed into a shriek as his mouth was covered by a cold sensation. It wasn’t until the hold shifted down to his neck that he realized it was a hand. So the old man was right, the thing threatening their farm was no human.
Hongjoong and Seonghwa's roommates like to have loud sex--loud enough that probably everyone in the entire dorm building can hear them. Usually, Seonghwa is far too polite to do anything about it, but when his best friend (and years-long crush) suggests a (fake) moaning competition to compete with them and show them the embarrassing error of their ways, he finds himself unable to refuse.
There was a time that they were enemies. Two opposing forces racing toward the same goal. But as timelines converged and collapsed, it became clear to them that they could no longer consider each other as adversaries. They would need to work together, if any of them were to survive at all.
And so, an alliance was forged. They broke bread together, toasted to their new partnership… and some of them?
Some of them did a fair bit more than that.
Seonghwa has to go into full heat for the first time in his life and this whole pre-heat thing sucks
Seonghwa really didn't know what to make of Hongjoong or his proposal at first, but saying yes was the best thing he'd ever done.
When Seonghwa first saw the new T.A Kim Hongjoong, he knew that man would be his new obsession. He wanted him. And Seonghwa always get what he wants.
The older man was so majestic in every single way possible yet held so many secrets that made him mysterious. It was what attracted Hongjoong to him originally, and after knowing him for so many years, he had hoped that Seonghwa would've been able to open up to him for a change. That hadn’t happened, except once, and that had been a shit show- but Seonghwa had shown Hongjoong a side to him that was raw and strange yet so beautiful at the same time. Hongjoong knew Seonghwa hated it more than he hated his robotics class- but still, the younger craved to see more of that raw Seonghwa.
Hongjoong didn’t want to jinx it, but he could feel that something in the air was different tonight. He didn’t know if it was because they both were soaring high in the sky or what, but something was very different.
Or: Hongjoong had loved Seonghwa since the beginning of time, and it wasn't until their most recent smoking session that the older man finally reveals some rather personal information that had been tormenting him, and Hongjoong lends him a shoulder to cry on.
Hongjoong accidentally knocks up his mercreature lover and goes through all the five stages of grief while assisting in the birth of their child.
Seonghwa’s mother had been convinced that merpeople had been cursed by Mother Nature. After all, what kind of living thing needed to mate with a creature outside their species in order to reproduce? For reasons nobody could understand, if a merperson wanted to procreate, they had to mate with a human in order to do so – and it couldn’t just be any human, it had to be a compatible one.
His kind were slowly becoming a dying breed, and they will soon become completely extinct because of the heavy burden they had to carry. Seonghwa himself is a merman who is determined to beat the odds as he desperately searches for the human who will finally help him achieve his dreams of becoming a mother.
"Do you ever wish I were human?"
Seonghwa makes a bargain, and almost loses everything.
Seonghwa always went through his heats on his own, but the one time he's not able to reach his satisfaction, he asked for help from their dear leader and, well, things just get out of hand from there.
It’s been going on for a while by the time they get caught.
After they split dorms, Hongjoong starts sleeping in Seonghwa's bed from time to time. Neither of them ever mentions it in the light of day.
Seonghwa is handsome, and seems to be even more handsome with each passing day. His hair is dark now, and Hongjoong wants to tug at it. Wants to kiss his neck and make him whine and squirm like he has gotten to over and over again. It’s addicting—Seonghwa is so pliant.
star tear disease. a fantastical, if not unbelievable, condition that people get when they are in love with someone who doesn’t love them back. unrequited love. if the symptoms are severe, or the case is extremely serious, the photoreceptors in the patient’s eye will eventually cease to function, and the person will go colorblind. this is because the stars that fall take the color from those receptors for themselves. and in very severe cases, the person will experience memory loss. memory loss of the one they love.
or the one where seonghwa loves hongjoong and hongjoong loves seonghwa, but not in the same way
Hongjoong gets displaced after a fire in his apartment building, resulting in him being homeless over night. He turns to the only friends he can trust, Seonghwa and Yeosang, to help him out in his time of need, but his one concern is that the Omega, Seonghwa, is pregnant with another Alpha's child.
Without many other options at such short notice, he reaches out to them, asking for their help until he can straighten things out with his insurance company, and they are happy to lend a hand for as long as Hongjoong needs, leaving the Alpha forever indebted to them.
During his stay, he figures out a way to repay them.
There were no gasps, no shocked noises at the aggression. Hongjoong was not the first alpha to be forced into submission during the Auction, after all. Seonghwa hadn’t made a noise for any of them either.
This time, however, the omega stood up.
“20 billion won,” Seonghwa said to the auctioneer, watching as his eyes went wide. “And I know no one in this room can bid any higher. Cover him up, I don’t want anyone looking at what’s mine.”
Before HongJoong, Seonghwa had never known what was the feeling of romantic love. He was fully aware of the different types of love and that he cared for some people more than he did for others; but it was never passionate. It never captured him enough into this sensation. Being in love with Hongjoong wasn’t easy. It was a never-ending sea, where everything was floating, reflecting the bright shining stars. If you looked into it- they kept shining more and more. Seeing more made you love more; made you fall deeper in the ocean. The sea was rough sometimes; unsettling and fighting with the crashing waves of its own, crucial issues. It went away, usually. And in moments like these Seonghwa knew, lost in the beauty of the other, what true love meant, and he wanted to give Hongjoong everything the other might desire. Neither of them was aware that the fall into the pretty sea would cause drowning forever.
seonghwa is an underrated and extremely talented painter that thinks the ocean is more beautiful during the night than the day. despite his utter fear of death, he found himself volunteering his time to paint the windows at the pediatric hospital every weekend. there he meets a very special blue-haired man who has a heartbreaking secret and tries to teach seonghwa about how to deal with death through the wonderful book of charlotte's web.
Seonghwa worships the Sun God with all that he is in mind, body, and soul.
His devotion is not left unnoticed.
The world has collapsed. Things are not what they used to be. Lots of people feared the idea of the apocalypse but no one ever truly believed it could happen. It was just a distant possibility, but it would never materialize. Until it did.
Park Seonghwa was the prince of an empire that no longer existed. And Kim Hongjoong was the captain that stud up. Would the red string of fate survive even the apocalypse?
“Just hearing my footsteps makes you leak, aw. What a good bitch you became.”
Hongjoong never loved himself, but at least there was Seonghwa.
Right?
An impulsive decision by Seonghwa's parents forces him to leave city life as he knows it and move to the countryside, leaving behind his friends and his stupid childhood dreams. He didn't expect to find what he did hidden away in the trees. A smaller boy, with bright red hair, and maybe feelings to go alongside.
Seonghwa is famous on campus. He's the kid who got locked up in the psych ward over summer because his head was too messed up for him to handle. Hongjoong is famous, too. He's the rich boy that everybody wants to hang out with even when he's smoking weed with his father's money. They aren't good for each other. They shouldn't go together. They almost kill each other.
“Hwa,” Hongjoong finally spoke. His voice was thick, and it cracked when he continued speaking as he shifted his face back to look up at Seonghwa. “Why do you do this for me?”
“Because you’re my best friend, Joong.” Because I’m irrevocably, completely in love with you, Kim Hongjoong.
Kim Hongjoong gets broken up with on Christmas Eve. Park Seonghwa is there for him, just like he always has been. And maybe, despite everything, it can be the best Christmas they have.
In a society where hybrids were either fancy pets or alleycats, Seonghwa knew he enjoyed many privileges as a pedigree indoor cat and that the discrimination he faced was nothing compared to what stray catpeople went through. These invisible and forgotten cats would probably give everything they have to get just a mere fraction of the perks he got, but he couldn’t help but think that he’d also give everything he has just to enjoy their apparent freedom just once.
He still felt the slight pang of jealousy as he stared at the clowder of catboys playing in the park, excited screams and meows traveling all the way to the car. Seonghwa had never had the chance to interact with strays before, but they always looked so ...happy and carefree. He yearned to know what that felt like.
He snapped out of his longing daydreams when his attention was momentarily drawn to one of the cats laying on the grass - an orange tabby who was already staring at him by the time their eyes met, intense gaze piercing through him.
Hongjoong isn’t one to believe in the supernatural, or old folklore, or sketchy websites on the internet, but when a certain tall man walks into his tiny florist shop on the corner, he can’t seem to find any space in his lungs.
Seonghwa had a few vices. He'd never really voice all of them because he would sound insane if he spoke about them, but he was toeing the line of letting those vices out.
Seonghwa didn't expect for it to end this way. For Hongjoong to find him lying helplessly on their shared sofa, surrounded by what seems to be flower petals and blood on his shirt. But there was nothing else he could've done, not when his fate was sealed by the flowers he had coughed up.
Hongjoong is sick, but the night is still more than perfect, especially because Seonghwa gets a lap full of sleepy, adorable boyfriend.
Was inevitability an explanation or an excuse? Hongjoong couldn't say and maybe that's where he first went wrong.
For Seonghwa, music is a hurtful reminder of his father's death that ripped his whole world apart just a year ago. A past that he can't allow himself to think of. That is, until a boy with silver white hair and sparkling eyes who plays the grand piano in the old store down the pedestrain street makes him cry one day.
For Hongjoong, music is the only escape from his horrible home life. The only dream of a future the world has not reserved for people like him. When one day he sees a boy crying in front of the pinao store he plays at, he has to wonder if the future is really reserved for anyone.
How do you love someone you thought was dead?
