Chanyeol is the head of an ancient vampire clan tasked to keep the modern vampire society organized and well-hidden from human sight. An ancient vampire craving for power and glory once more is back from his slumber, endangering the secrecy of their species by preying on the people of South Korea, and Chanyeol and his siblings has to stop him. But things go awry, and Chanyeol finds himself with another priority - a bratty idol named Baekhyun, who he turned into a vampire out of pity after being one of the victims.
And now Chanyeol doesn't understand why he is so attached to him.
Park Chanyeol likes to consider himself an alternative sort of vampire: he doesn’t do mansion or capes or tacky dripping fangs. He likes playing pretend at being human, likes blending in and making music and doing what he loves. But then Chanyeol is called back to Korea as vampires begin to be murdered by an unknown threat. There, he meets hunter Byun Baekhyun, and he discovers that he must confront the past he’s been running from for the last ten years if he wants to keep Baekhyun by his side.
Chanyeol is the worst vampire hunter ever. But maybe that just has something to do with the infuriatingly hot vampire he’s supposed to be tracking down.
They have a lot of differences. Baekhyun’s lost faith in the world, but Chanyeol still believes in fate. Baekhyun is cautious, always the one to pull away at the first sign of danger while Chanyeol's the one who’s insistent, adamant to draw him back in. Baekhyun is human; Chanyeol just might not be.
Baekhyun is an innocent little human and Chanyeol just want him all for himself.
