barcelona (2011)

• getting ready at 3 in the morning
• coach trip to the airport in luton
• airport, because airports are fun
• lawrence losing his bording pass just before we were about to fly
• "wait... if we're landing in girona, where is our luggage going to be??"
• coach trip from the airport to the hotel
• seeing this big fancy hotel and thinking "OMG IT'S AWESOME" then going round the corner to our actual hotel
• seeing pervy spanish guys as soon as we get off the coach
• trying to get oliver to shower
• the showers
  • taking a shower and huw suddenly goes "hello?"
  • ella running out of the room screaming when huw says "hello?"
  • realizing there is a vent and calling out to people when they were showering
  • taking a shower with ella and lawrence (lawrence was on the other side of the vent) and squirting him with water
• the drunk night
  • getting drunk in the hotel room with people
  • going on stage in our pajamas dancing to club music
  • shouting stuff off the balcony and then laughing really loud
  • hiding the bottle of alcohol when mr thomas did room check
  • jerry getting really drunk and mrs murphy trying to tell her off, but she was drunk also
• alex couzens and huw
  • alex couzens accusing us of being apes
  • alex couzens falling over a rock because his hat was in the way
  • alex couzen's "i don't care" clothes
  • the realization that alex couzens only has three facial expressions
  • huw sitting on the balcony and blasting loud rock music whenever i went out
  • me throwing a sponge at huw's door and him throwing it back shouting "danielle hi danielle! danielle is that your sponge?"
  • watching airport security with alex couzens and huw when we were angry
• shouting at mrs hannah when she came back drunk because i was tired and she wouldn't shut up
• sightseeing
  • having these disgusting packed lunches and the rep giving our leftovers to the homeless
  • asking doki our unanswerable made-up riddles and mrs murphy answering one
  • wearing our bags so we didn't get pickpocketed
  • going into that shop with george and realizing that there is no exit
  • spending all our money on sweets
  • seeing prostitutes every 30 seconds on the side of the road
• girona
  • finding the best ice cream shop in the world and using our super spanish skills to order for everyone because the waitresses couldn't speak english
  • having to walk through the busy market and losing omar
  • "wagwamos"
  • having to walk ages from the coach to the place we were meant to go to
• port aventura
  • buying loads of watermelon-flavoured chupa chups
  • going on the merry-go-round
  • bumper karts
    • chasing alex couzens on the bumper karts
    • getting loads of people to chase him, and spanish people joining in
    • "lawrence kart" video when alex couzens bailed on us
  • having to trail round for ages trying to find a burger
  • going on the rides and being scared they'd fall apart
  • alex couzen's story on the way home which was too long and had no point, and the teachers told him to shut up
• me and ella getting into our first row which lasted about 2 minutes because i wouldn't buy her drink for her
• beach
  • going to the beach and realizing that it was sharp pebbles
  • almost drowning in the sea and alex couzens having to save me
  • mr thomas splashing us and going "hey guys, come in!" in a way which crosses the teacher/student barrier
• getting really sunburned and having to go to the airport in hotpants
• being really ill and going to the pizza place in tom's hoody looking like a guy
• lawrence telling the flight attendant that i wasn't feeling well and rumours getting to the back of the plane that i'd passed out
