These are my political/philosophical/religious views and I am firm and confident, open and honest in my views and also very respectful and accepting of views that oppose mine and those who hold opposing views. I can have a peaceful debate, discussion, conversation...
- Marriage equality - Marriage for ALL or marriage for NONE
- Adoption privileges for lgbtq people
- Transgenderism/transsexuality not considered a mental illness
- The second amendment (US Constitution)
- Animal rights/welfare
- Immigration
- Life
- Universal Love
- Acceptance of people of different views
- Love & kindness above being right.
- Being open to other views but standing your ground
- Diversity
- Being kind & compassionate but take no bullshit
- Life in prison as opposed to death penalty
- Pro-life (in terms of animal life/vegetarianism, abortion, suicide(i don't believe it is or should be an individual right/liberty), death penalty, stem cell research (I believe human embryos lives should be protected...) - I believe human, insect, & animal life is to be protected.
- not feeling like we have to live up to a certain label such as "Liberal" or "Conservative" or "Moderate" or "Libertarian..." It's ok to be any of those things but in my opinion it's best to be ourselves and not try to force ourselves to fit perfectly into a box we are not naturally inclined to. It's ok to mostly be one but still have some views of the "other side." I can mostly be lib. But still have some Con. Views or the other way around. And politically Moderate people are not necessarily more open minded than others just because they have a mixture of views on all sides.
- saving lives and providing medical care even to those who can't pay for it. Everyone's life is important!
- seat belt laws - I believe life is more important than autonomy
- Voter's rights for prisoners. Our laws still apply to them, they're still in the country with everyone else!
- I support polygamy for people who want it
- cloning for people who want kids that way, but not to do tests on them or take their organs for other people
- organ donation
- students being allowed to pray in public schools if they want, without disrupting anyone. The school/teachers don't have to promote, require, or encourage it but an individual student who wants to pray or mention a god of any sort isn't hurting anyone
- people saying "Merry Christmas" if they want, wherever they want
- no animal testing
- loving our whole planet, not just our country
- military people & police
- not killing insects or rodents (there are no kill methods for getting rid of pests!)
- Also, I'm an Atheist. I don't believe in any god or afterlife. But I love theists! I'm not anti-religion or anti-theist.
- My views are extremely close to Buddhist views. I basically agree with all their principles and most of their views.
So here are my views. I don't claim to be more moral or intelligent than anyone else and I don't have an "in your face" kind of attitude or a preachy attitude. I'm just very open.
