When Copycat first snuck onto the Skeld, their sole intention was to pick off the crew and bounce. It was their first solo mission, their time to shine and to impress their people back home with their hunting prowess.

So, needless to say, they were not expecting to grow attached to one particular member of the ship.

Armin, the purple crewmate and the Skeld’s chef, asked for their help one day while preparing dinner for the crew. CC obliged, happy to do anything that would lull the foolish human into trusting them…

… but quickly found themselves to actually be enjoying his presence.

The little songs he would hum while cooking, the way he would ask CC if they wanted to help him stir the pot, and even his annoying little cyclops dog were all… endearing, in their own way.

Copycat soon found themselves helping Armin more often, both in the kitchen and with anything else he needed. The two grew close over time, and the purple crewmate became the first person that CC could really call a friend.

They didn’t even notice that they hadn’t killed a single crewmate yet until a meeting was called to discuss the lack of danger.
