6 stars; must watch and rewatchablethe theory of everything ; redmayne you were so brilliant he so deserved that award not once did i think of him as redmayne he was well and truly hawking. also the first movie i cried over RELATIONSHIPS I NEVER DO THIS • eternal sunshine of the spotless mind ; officially my favourite rom-com • whiplash; intense and hard-hitting. Movie went completely all-out, especially that ending man. Simply brilliant • legally blonde rw ; ‘what, like it’s hard?’ #ellewoods4pres • she's the man rw ; super oldie but even more goodie. Amanda was aMAZING in this, everything about this screams hilarity • spirited away rw; there’s something about this beautiful, imaginative and poignant movie that keeps me going back again and again for more • a beautiful mind ; absolutely brilliant. had shivers throughout the whole family. made me think about how we should handle schizophrenics and psychiatric disorders. made me think of how lonely schizophrenics must feel. oh god so many things to think about • mad max: fury road; whoa? The beginning was hella confusing, but everything else after that was powerful and exhilarating. Loved all the issues raised here. Simple plot, but the beauty is in the execution. Guitar hero guy is my official favourite. Requires a second watching • easy a; how have I not seen this before? Emma was snappy, witty and amazing. This movie is amazing. • what we do in the shadows; if you’re upset this is the movie to watch. Thank god someone is portraying vampires the original way they’re supposed to be portrayed I love my vampires okay. Anywhoo, this is so far my favourite comedy of the year. I died laughing at EVERYTHING. • juno; ellen page here is so real???? I love how mature her character was, without losing a touch of that ol’ teenage feistiness. Great great movie. That last scene was so heartbreaking oh god.

5 starsthe imitation game; so good so beautifully written but idk i felt like it kind of went flat at the end or maybe that's just how it's supposed to feel? • interstellar; movie was way too long BUT DEAR GOD THE TEARS I BAWLED • princess mononoke; i love miyazaki's creatures, always so weird and freaky. Also, this was surprisingly graphic? LOVED the feminism though yEAH • the tale of princess kaguya v slow plot but dear god the animation was so lush and beautiful, especially the part when she was running away. • sister act rw; MUCH HILAR • still alice; well deserved oscar for julianne plot was tight and flowed well i loved it • hachiko rw; if you dont feel pain from watching this you are heartless • calvary; this was such a good dark comedy so many things to think about • hairspray; this movie made me so happy and smiley hardly any shade) • silver linings playbook; jennifer and bradley were stunning for this. Loved their chemistry. Something about the beginning felt confusing though, but otherwise so so good. • grave of the fireflies; this movie is a bucket of sadness please stay away from this movie if you intend to be happy throughout the day. • avengers: age of ultron; what do you expect? Super good duh. • the duff; laugh out loud hilarious. Absolutely loved the couple. So predictable and usual clichéd message but so so enjoyable. • tiny furniture; wow. This movie was directionless, soul-sapping and yet at the same time, really good? The movie felt very raw. Even though it felt boring and at times, annoying, I just kept on watching it.

4 starsikiru ; felt really long but poignant dirty pretty things; simple albeit a wee bit confusing movie about organ donation. • the diving bell and the butterfly ; poignant. Felt a little drabby in some places though. • birdman; interesting camerawork. Many insightful lines, so I absolutely loved the style of the writing. However, it was way too wtf for me throughout, especially the end. • pitch perfect; the acapella was BRILLIANT and fat amy is the bae. in terms of the movie itself, felt pretty formulaic and nothing new. • john tucker must die; cute, light-hearted movie. Also a throwback to the horrible outfits we considered ‘cool’ back in the 2000’s sigh. • kingsman: the secret service; hilarious but also annoyingly doesn't make sense but i guess that's part of the charm

3 starsbig hero six; baymax is super adorable but the rest of the story felt so generic, basic and formulaic. I was honestly expecting a lot more from Disney and from an Oscar winner (this was chosen over kaguya rufkm??) • clueless ; really basic? Cher is sweet and all but the story felt kind of drabby

2 starsinto the woods ; singing was brilliant but the storyline was so lackluster ugh. I think I gave up on this movie towards the end • pitch perfect 2; the only thing stopping me from giving this movie one star is because of fat amy and the performances. Clunky storyline, anticlimactic and underuse of many plot devices.
