A very creepy horror story that did a really good job encompassing what it felt like growing up in a small town. I found myself laughing at interactions between characters just because they were too true to life, haha. The writer does a phenomenal job with foreshadowing and really drawing you in.
There is a really good podcast version of this story you should check out after you finish the reddit story. The first episode of the podcast drops a huge spoiler, so try to steer clear first.
This author is also responsible for Netflix shows Haunting of Hill House, and Bly Manor.

I liked this one so much I immediately went out and purchased the book the author wrote afterward called Stolen Tongues. Felix Blackwell knows how to write suspense, and nothing is spookier than the way he described some of the events. I even had a nightmare about it.
I recommend reading the nosleep version before diving straight to the novelisation, as I really enjoy the unique delivery and use of youtube videos for immersion.

I think about this story constantly, and I come back to read it every few months. It's a little difficult to find where to start, but the immersion in this story is absolutely incredible - make sure you read the comments because the author responds in-character.
