• expectations has to be managed; don't expect someone else to do something that you yourself can't (catching cockroaches and lizards aside)
• never go to bed angry
• it takes some sort of attraction to even be friends

• both parties must work for the relationship (let's not even talk about who is working more/less that one damn tricky)
