although anri isn't technically outright abusive to charles besides when she wrote insults on the blackboard about him, nearly every interaction they have is some sort of nod to the way anri treated charlotte in hc2 (and then the rest of it is just handed over to scarlett like "look! wow, anri suddenly is a totally redeemed character!").
for instance, she forces charles to pay for her food like she does with charlotte, and she constantly belittles him and makes jabs about his work. friendships that involve jabs at each other are fine, but i think anri goes really far with it, especially considering how suicidal charles is.
she also uses the same "it's not my fault" chant she uses on charlotte to get her to villainize c when charles offers to kill himself with her. she also has this whole "oh i'm going to call charlotte out for being delusional" moment, which is really... uncomfortable, because she literally drives charlotte to a point of near insanity in hc2. and like, why? cause... she's "calling her out"?
and then of course, there's the nonconsensual kiss after the "it's not my fault", and that's LITERALLY the moment charles starts viewing her as a parasite. he literally feels SICK thinking that she might have a crush on him. not to mention that, when he dies, he creates anri to be this incredibly toxic person who ultimately hurts charlotte so much. considering the world he created was based on how he felt about people and how he saw them, that says a lot about how he feels about anri. so im really not here for this ship, like, at all
