arcturus - a star who messed up a few of the constellations one too many times and is thrown down to earth until the elder stars figure out what to do with him. he arrives as a sixteen year old and has no clue how to handle human life. he's going to be the main character

vega - arc's "friend". she's a star, but is arc's conscience. second brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere. she tells him what to do and helps him out when he gets stuck. arc finds himself talking to her out loud many times, which causes the people to look at him strangely.

"hey guys, is this where i'm supposed to be?" -sigh- "no arc. for the tenth time this week, yOU'RE NOT PART OF THIS CONSTELLATION. you're in Boötes, arcy." - kappa lyrae "arc, for the brightest star in this (northern celestial) hemisphere, you sure are stupid." - vega "vega i am trying my best here." "yeah, well try harder!"

"what's this, katie?" "you've never had one? it's a chocolate bar. i bought one from the guy who sells candy around campus. i tell you, they treat candy like drugs here." "the milky way is chocolate??? what!?!" "...are you okay arc? you're having a spasm over there. it's a candy bar called a milky way.. what's wrong with that?" "well, the milk way is a galaxy and not only that but it's the galaxy we live in. all of my friends are part of the milky way and they make up the constellations and stuff so like having them all compacted into one tiny thing of cha-co-lut is kind of scary and me eating it would kill all of us, right? i mean if the name was like 'andromeda galaxy' or something else i wouldn't feel so bad because andromeda elder is a jerk so ruining his galaxy wouldn't completely crush me, but our galaxy? why would you do that?" "wtf arc?"
