- some (one) of the jokes fell flat for me and felt unnecessary but otherwise really funny. great acting, esp. haddish. the chemistry between the women was great too. the resolution felt a bit rushed/easy? otherwise a very enjoyable and easy watch

- an amazing metaphor/representation of depression. for someone that hates horror and tries not to interact with the genre, this has still become one of my favourite films. scary but done so effectively/cleverly/masterfully that you can enjoy it. probably would help to watch it with other people

- the problem the whole time is that oscar was an asshole and she just needed to figure this out? and literally throw him into oblivion? the set up is that she needs to get her life together and she does by kicking her drinking problem and because she makes oscar disappear it kinda implies that he's also contributing to her issues but how? subconsciously through their past and then their present when he starts acting crazy?

- the acting left more to be desired, henry golding has absolutely no charisma, and I still don't understand why rachel was so happy to leave her job when they made a deal of it before about how much she liked it and that it was a point of pride for her. the wedding sequence was absolutely gorgeous (the flowers were overkill and took me a bit out of the moment though tbh). lots of relatable moments

- the best word to describe this movie is just soulless. Nearly fell asleep in the cinema. Mackenzie is pretty and so is Jayden but her acting is not good at all and his comedic timing is so bad. Don't know why Keira was told or thought that doing that high pitched voice was a good idea but sitting in a cinema with noisy kids on top of having to hear that voice for so long becomes grating. Helen Mirren was the only interesting person on screen tbh and did great with what little she had to work with. Highlight of the film was Mackenzie's soldier uniform/dress, actually sooo beautiful! The hat feather was overkill though lol.
